The first half of the season came to an end yesterday we have now played every team in league one.
The table don't lie as it stands BFC are currently mediocre bang average team that's massively under achieving.
The obvious problem is our woeful away form and too many individual mistakes. This has to stop asap and improve massively or it's league one football again next season.
I see 4 points minimum requirement from Burton and Port vale game to keep us in the hunt for playoff promotion places.
2 draws or two defeats are not acceptable as that will see us move further away from the promotion chasing pack. All honestly we have definitely lost too many times for our liking 7 defeats is poor for the first half of the season.
If we replicate the same form for the second half it will leave us on 72 points and 14 defeats which is 8/9th finish. We have to aim for 77/80 points will be enough for a playoff place.
Ideally need to go through this second half of the season on run with no more than 4 defeats to have a realistic chance for a playoff place It's a big ask but is actually achievable.
We won't get into the playoffs with any less than 75 points or 12 or more losses.
Joseph, kouassi, norbs, Pennington Dembele and Rhodes have been awesome signings and need to stay fit. Keep the faith we can beat anyone in this league when we all turn up and players don't cost us with individual errors.
Must try harder. UTMP 🍊💪🏽👊🏼

When many were marching on Bloomers with pitchforks and flaming torches to demand Critchley's head after 1 defeat from our first 6 games, I said I'd start worrying around Christmas if we were struggling and/or crap.

We are neither and 8th so all good. I'm not a fan of playing wide players on the wrong side, and our left is a problem considering what a good squad we have. We are poor away from home which is annoying, sort that and we will make the play-offs. Dembele and Rhodes have been brilliant, Morgan is finding his groove and Sonny is getting better.

I agree we should be doing better but as a realist I expect us to be a challenging League 1 side for a few years yet before we go up. Keep the faith.

We can't really lose more than 1 game in the second half of the season and need to win 16 for a realistic chance of auto. Playoffs we can probably afford to lose another three.

We have the ability but sometimes don't apply ourselves, or spend time daydreaming when we should be defending, if the team fully commits then auto is a possibility

I had a flick through the remaining fixtures earlier and had us potentially losing three games and all the others are winnable, it won’t end up like that but I’m confident we’ll make the playoffs and still have an outside chance of automatic.

Don't be silly. Lose one? Man City and Arsenal will lose more than one with a similar gap between them but I wouldn't bet on the outcome.

Not bad to be in 8th but still not managing basic throwins, all going short and backwards then losing possession.

Lyon’s throw from the corner flag on Saturday finished up back into our half instead of into the danger area - pathetic really.

Once Rhodes goes back we are going to struggle in the 2nd half of the season 😳

Think we will miss out on promotion as we are not consistent and easy to score against, but maybe a good cup run will keep morale high.
