The following players need binning off, cos they’re not good enough. No room for sentiment:

Connolly
Husband (been woeful for around a month)
Thompson
Norburn
Carey
Morgan

Passengers, one and all. Says it all when Connolly fouled a Vale player last night and the ref was going for his cards I was praying for a red.

Critchley’s tactics and style is shite but too many players downing tools/not good enough. Not all down to the manager
 
Just need to clear out the manager and his assistants. we can revisit the players in May. A new manager could breathe new life into a lot of those, although I wouldn't have Connolly near the team and I don't rate Norburn at all. More worried about losing Dougall, Marv and Rhodes and possibly even Dembele. We have certainly missed Kenny & Marv so they have to be replaced before we even think of strengthening the squad, same goes for Rhodes and Dembele. We could be 4 of our best players down and be right up to our necks in shit creek. Loose on Monday and we'll be on a road downwards, it's a ** mess all by appointing Quitchley.
 
I don't think anyone needs "binning off."
I do think Husband and Donnelly need to move on, for their careers. And yes, we need new blood.

Although Thompson hasn’t had enough of a chance this season and you can’t bin off Norburn this early. Albie Morgan has ability too but not consistent.

All need to go either this window or next and be replaced with winners
 
a poor system, poor coaching, unclear direction, a lack of management and motivation and someone draining confidence from the individuals can all result in good players looking poor or performing below potential.

Im of the opinion that a well organised and motivational management team could soon have players playing in a suitable system that let them achieve their full potential. Just look at Villa since Critch and Gerrard were sacked, players who looked relegation fodder are now in Champions League places.

as I've always stated, i believe that our squad is the best in the league, it just lacks correct and quality leadership

Nonsense knee jerk thread this innit?!

Lets just bin a load of players cos our away form isn't working out. Put the blame at the door of some players, all of whom have demonstrated obvious ability in recent times. We are clearly not getting the best from them consistently, so address hhe reasons why.

99% of football fans couldn't run a piss up in a brewery. They'd wreck the joint within days.

Well probably within about 90 minutes of getting pissed.
 
We could absolutely revert to a flat back 4 and be well blessed. We have 4 full backs and also Connolly at cover if really needed.

Then it’s a case of how to get Dembele, Rhodes and a n other striker alongside him (Joseph I guess currently) into best positions with a supporting midfield.

We always looked better with two holding midfielders. Dembele can go RW with the license to drift inside whilst Lyons or Gabriel overlap him. Dale or CJ or even Carey at a push on the LW (I think Joseph could do it in a similar role to Dembele if we had another CF fit to partner Rhodes)

I know it’s all a bit 4-4-2 but instinctively feels more effective.

Take Carey and Morgan off that list but add Weir

Exactly. When we had Dougall and Stewart in the centre of our midfield we were strong!

How can people not see the quality Norburn brings?

Sounds a lot better than the current formation, away at least
From the relatively little I've seen of Joseph, he looks like player who could play behind a front two (not really seen him much in the nr 9 role)
Some of his creative forward passes have been excellent
 
Joseph is a good player, but I am beginning to doubt we will ever see it under Critchley.
Remember how he used to mess about with Jerry Yates, in and out of the team.
