Not much, but I remember he was chairman at Skelmersdale Utd. when they were relatively successful in non-league ,but that success never materialised with us. We did sign a couple of players from Skem including Micky Burns so maybe that's where the link started. I think he was chairman when we signed Bobby Doyle fro m Posh for £100,00 but that never worked either.

Not sure if he was a “goodie” or a “baddie”. In my mind he was more of a “goodie” but I don’t think there were too many of those in that era so not sure.
Others will know and remember far better.

Probably just another owner who struggled to get the club to the heights the fans had been used to after the abolition of the maximum wage?
