Pool favourite Billy Bentley will be upstairs at The Armfield Club tomorrow pre-match for an interview and to draw this month’s 1953 sweepstake.

Billy was a great servant for the Seasiders making 296 appearances between 1968 and 1977.

Last month one of our regulars won £220 in the draw - balls will be available on the day for £5 from just after 1:00 draw at 1:45 …

Tell him from me that in no way on God's Earth was it a penalty for Sunderland in the match where Mickey Walsh scored the goal of the season.
 
Can you ask I'm if he remembers the 30 yard thunderbastard he put into the top corner at Carlisle in 1972! It nearly broke the net.

Bill scored the winner in that FA cup 3rd round epic vs Burnley too back in '76. And he got Ray Hankin sent off. Another great story of his. 20,753 in the ground that day 👍
 
Chris has brought along lots of England (Nationwide) branded merchandise … tops, tracksuits, jackets … some good items.

It was never difficult to get Hankin sent off. Was that the game where he twatted George Wood after 12 minutes and got booked, then sent off after 26 mins?
 
We try our best - if you don’t have the mic really close to your mouth the volume drops significantly - the players have a tendency to do this - thx to Billy as ever …. and to all who pitched up and Chris Hull for bringing his programmes and England merch …. a big THANKYOU 🙏

Remember it well - even what people were saying sat near me in the East Stand seats … You made a typo - you were 44 not 14 ?
