I know a little bit premature but anyone got any decent recommendations Re staying over in Birmingham on the Saturday into Sunday? I’m in early stages of considering staying over with my teenage son for a bit of of seaside away bonding etc. Driving there so need easy parking and preferably suitable venues nearby for drinks and semi decent scoff. Appreciate any ideas other than looking online etc. Thanks in advance. UTMP! 🍊

There are no cheap deals due to the Christmas Market.
Ignore above poster as it is worth staying in the City.
Cheapest I can find is £85 for a double/ twin at Ibis Centre.
Cheaper options but a hike into theCity.

I did AirBnB last time worked out cheaper.
I like Birmingham had many a decent night out there.

Just recently come back from a gig in Birmingham... had a Brill time but we did train and stayed in travelodge Central Newhall Street which cost us £42 for sat nite.

Also stopped at the Radison, although it looked a bit as though it could do with a revamp last time I went. Rooms were fine and the food / breakfast was fine too. Great view of the city if you get one of the high rooms. Also quite near the Mailbox and restaurants.

Think about Solihull -15 minutes train to Birmingham City (Bordesley station - 10 minutes walk to stadium) ). Loads of bars, restaurants and pubs with travel lodge, premier inn and other hotels a few minutes from the station. Solihull junction 5 of the m42.
