The other half was out shopping today for a new mobile phone and had done research in advance to narrow down her choice. On asking a sales assistant to see one of the models in question, she was told those models were still stuck in the Suez Canal.
It turns out, the ship that got stuck there 3 months ago, although physically freed from the sandbank it was wedged against, has been detained ever since by the canal authorities whilst the canal owners fight in the courts for adequate compensation from the ship's owners so it all means there are still goods on that ship which should by now have been on British shelves.
Hope the fruit and veg is still fresh!
