Haven't followed much about Brexit and don't really give a hoot, but I thought if you had a contract of employment on the table that working here or in Europe wouldn't fundamentally change that much?

Sadler: "Salary caps probably helped us then, so wages are higher. Brexit doesn’t help either as at our level it’s harder to bring in foreign players that qualify."

Work permit rules are now different. In times past you could employ any footballer from the EEA without immigration processes or a work permit.

There are more rules to follow now and many more young foreign footballers are denied the chance in lower league English football as they don't qualify.

I think it's why for a while, or maybe still, there was a premium on younger English players.
