Blackpool get.......

Leaving aside the 4 2 this season and the utterly meaningless game at their place, we'd beaten them on the previous 4 occasions we'd played them, scoring at least 3 every time.

If we take it seriously, I'm not concerned in the slightest by this game.

Playing them the previous Saturday, and Bolton immediately afterwards might impact team selection though.

I remember a few years ago it was the end of the season we had nothing to play for and Peterborough had been relegated I took a mate thinking it would be a easy win and a decent day out on the ale... turns out we got shafted 5-0 at their place and my mate never asked to return to watch the pool again... lives rent free in my head 😔🤣🤣

I suspect Peterborough fans will be more disappointed by the draw than we are but most people will think the winner of this tie will be favourites to go on and win the competition. Football doesn't always work out as people think it will but we've go to be positive about this, we're at home and if we win we'll be massive favourites to win the trophy.

If we don't win, who care? It's a tin pot competition anyway! 😉

But it was a good day out on the ale tho, right? 😂

Tough draw, Peterborough have a fast, attacking side who can cause you no end pf problems.
So do we. We're in better form than the last game, a better team, won't be playing people like Oakley-booth, no Thompson. We had no Joseph, who is now fully fit and growing each game. Despite all that we had them rocking with 10 men and only gave the game away with a mistake.

Not sure what some of their 2nd string who are likely to feature looks like, but ours is pretty handy.

One more thing I noticed from looking back is we played Kouassi and Rhodes up top.

Whilst they have their uses, fast pressing isn't really one of them, given the lack of pace and mobility compared to say Lavery and Joseph. Who with CJ and Coulson maybe, would give Peterborough far less time on the ball at the back than the last league game.

We also didn't play Dembele.

Things didn't go for us and we weren't the team we are now, despite that the 10 men deserved a point really.

It’ll be the first one I miss , as I will be in the Caribbean on a cruise , gutted , and I miss 4 league games . On paper the winner of this tie should lift the trophy, but as we all know , football isn’t played on paper .
