Blackpool North Pier 1903 with AI

Just content to be there, middle classes promenading. How times have changed. I thought I saw Harpo Marx & less likely as she was dead Queen Victoria. By adding colour it doesn't seem quite as old.
 
Pier is crowded and the beach is empty. Everyone smartly dressed, all the men in a coller & tie, everyone has a hat.

Won't be any of mine, they came to Blackpool in the 1910/1920s.
Mum was born in Cape Town SA in 1907.
Dads' family left Leeds in the late teens. He was born in 1903 and was about 16 when they came.
 
seen this a while ago. but in b/w . a newcastle fan has colourized newcastle / arsenal 1952 fa cup final. on tik tok. its not just chinese cats and stupid dogs.
 
They must have thought camcorders were a kind of voodoo.

And whatever they thought, they weren't "playing up" to it, just looking at it.

Aye, women couldn't vote, no free health care, workhouses for the poor, child labour, slums, not a single 'foreign' face and most of the little boys filmed here will be sent off to be sacrificed in a meat grinder of a war in a decade's time.

A bit off topic as per usual, looking to be anti and argumentative. I'm talking about self respect, presentation and all round decency in a public place.
Today people are as scruffy as the litter they drop on the pavement, you probably think that's liberal and cool.

Nope, just think society shouldn't be judged by hat wearing.
 
Distinct lack of obesity.
Found the footage slightly depressing.
A bit too realistic incorporating colour & obviously everyone has since snuffed it.
Being in my 60's now all I bit close to home ⚰️
