Blackpool town team

My name was put forward by school sports teacher to whoever selected the team but i was not chosen. I presume it was a panel of selectors with one person designated as team manager?
 
My old man ran it for a few years with Paul Fenwick (rip) from Fleetwood High. My age group was decent, with Stuart Parkinson and Kevin Barnes, but the group that followed was very good, with the likes of Hillsy, Gavin McCann and the McNiven twins.
 
Early 90s here. We had some excellent players (not including myself in that, I was a steady and unspectacular defender) but I don’t think any of that team made it to pro level.
 
Yea... With Thommo.. John Butler.. Bandagem (poster on here) reached last 8 of English FA cup.. Also Blackpool rep team the following year with addition of Steve Walsh (Leicester City) good times.

87' 88'. Great days and one heck of a team with four out the group going on to play professionally👍.Got to play on some great grounds with the highlight being Goodison Park on Granada Reports. Tell a lie...highlight was meeting Bob Greaves😀
 
I played in that team with George Berry. We had a good side. Mick Robinson ex city and Liverpool was also in that year.
