Box to box midfielder…. a bit like that lad from Carlisle…? 😌

Just googled him. Tottenham youth that signed for Stoke. Struggled in first season and the got a back injury. Didn’t play again following season and then released.
Played 25 games for Lincoln last season.

Had England honours upto U18 so maybe somewhere deep there is potential?

Given the team we have played don’t think anyone will be. Young players should be clapped off the pitch
Totally agree.
2nd half has basically been us passing it about round our own 18 yard box and being pressured into either a mistake or a hoof.

Blackpool have just changed their entire team.

Hard to draw too many conclusions from the result today.

But as with last time under Critchley, it seems that we are building a capable squad where you're not entirely sure who should be in the 1st team, whoever steps in is capable of doing the job.

So a game could be close, the players who start can wear teams down, but if the players we then bring on with subs are just as good, against tired legs they have the advantage and can maybe push on.

It's still unclear what our starting line up should be or will be.

The one area currently that might not be the case in is up top. Lavery is ahead of Beesley and until we see Joseph we just don't know what he's about.

Knobbers lost to another second div side Stockport (wait for the meltdown on Penis online 🤣 🤣.
You mean I could have gone to watch them today….I was in Morrisons at Cheadle Heath this morning after all😂 where there were a few County fans shopping.😉like me.

it would have been fun if I had gone🥳

Well, I enjoyed that, it gave me some optimism for the coming season , although Connolly at left wing back makes me cringe. Nobody had a bad game, Sonny Carey did himself no harm whatsoever, Norburn is different class, Lavery’s on fire. Great finish from Owen Dale , Beesley worked hard but in my opinion he needs to seriously bulk up, he didn’t do anything wrong but just looks a little lightweight. Encouraging performance, can’t wait for Saturday. #UTMP

Loving the feel good feeling! 🙌
Was Connolly not playing as one of the three CB’s?

The average age of our back 4 at the end of the game was less than 19 years old.

The average age of the XI that finished the game was 20 with Jeggo (31) and Wollacott (26) the only players over 20 years old.

As far as then game went it was a bit pointless. Thought Blackpool were poor and our first team would have comfortably competed.

So Boyle ... first 45 minutes in 9 months ... and Jeggo were the only 1st team regulars, with the rest made up of kids and fringe players. If Blackpool don't record this in their official records as Blackpool versus Hibs XI they should be embarrassed.

N-n-n-n-n-ninteen, nineteen
None of them received a hero's welcome...

So ok its a friendly and reall only about giving people time to get their fitness levels up however:

First half - to 60mins yes a goal but it was pretty dire - near enough a full change on 60mins and the style of football and the drive to push forward was just surreal. Should start with the players that played form 60mins onwards!

certainly giving critch some good selection headaches - not sure beesley lavery combo worked - lavery need someone to knock balls down and not be expected to jump and win as many balls. Beesley looked lost position wise in my opinion.

Well I thought it was a good run out. Norburn looks excellent, Morgan and Pennington looked good too, Trybull when he was on also looked very good (will we play both Trybull and Norburn together though holding? ) and Lavery looks sharp. Oakley Booth looked tidy and has a nice composure about him too when he came on I also thought Dale looked very decent playing up top.
The not so good for me was Beesley doesn't look good enough by a distance, Carey I thought was pretty much the same as always really, didn't really notice him but popped up with a couple of efforts. For me he wouldn't be a starter but a good squad player. Tharme I thought looked very suspect, first time I'd seen him and he looked dodgy in my opinion but maybe he needs more time. The rest were decent enough too.

A new left side CB, probably a Striker with Joseph being injured and maybe even a centre mid depending if Virtue goes and we don't take Oakley Boothe.

Plenty of positives though
