I pondered long and hard picking this one after originally sighting May 1968 and Pool's 1-3 victory that with 8 minutes to go had promotion to the promised land written on it until events at Villa Park unfolded.

Such is the feel good factor after Saturday let's stay on a positive note.

Pool faced off vs Huddersfield Town in this match starting to gather some late season momentum in League 1

Pool were nicely cemented in 6th place with a 6 points buffer to 8th.Huddersfield were down in 15th.

Debuting in goal was Joe Hart on loan from City and those musical maestros Michael Jackson and Robbie Williams were in Pool's back 4.We even had Mr Bean on the bench (Marcus.).

The former Seasider Mark Hudson lined up in midfield for Huddersfield Town.He arrived in August 2009 and departed after one appearance and signed in September dropping 4 levels in the league for Gainsborough Trinity.

Pool ran out winners 0-2 courtesy of goals from Claus Jorgensen and Robbie Williams. This game became what was installment three of the Perfect Ten culminating in victory in The Beautiful South and a return to the old Division 2 for the first time since 1977-78.

Line up
Hart Barker Evatt Jackson Williams Forbes Jorgensen Hoolahan Southern Morrell Parker.

The Referee one Mr Mark Clattenburg.

Let's ensure the opposition are playing against 12 men again and avoid being after The Lord Mayor's Show to make Huddersfield Town installment number two this time around.

Blackpool win 4-3 on aggregate with the Golden Goal.

Blackpool win with the Golden Goal - full match report to follow.

103 mins: Martin Bullock hoofed the ball into the back of the net after Gareth Evans hesitated in defence and allowed the dangerous midfielder into a shooting position - the midfielder greedily struck.

I hated the golden goal. even though we won that game, it was a bit of an anti-climax to a great game., and I wondered how the Town fans must have felt, or how we would have felt if the boot had been on the other foot, so to speak.

I could be mistaken, but if I am, someone will put me right. I think we were the last team to play them at their old ground, and they were the first team to play us in our partly new ground.

Yes and yes. They got their own back: a 12yr old scored 2 headers.
