It isn’t completely but he will never win the Blackpool fans over so what’s the point? It really isn't Appleton's fault
With a four year contract he will never resign. Madness to give him more than a two year one.Appleton please go - bring someone in with real fight and ability to review up a side
I can’t for one minute think that anyone else would get anything different from this current group of players…..league 1 at best. We are not good enough….simple as thatOK, I've skimmed a lot of this thread but the way I see it:
We were far too slow to the ball.
We showed little fight.
We showed little initiative - same old punts forward.
We were schooled by a far better team.
We have gone backwards very quickly.
We look like a relegation team.
I left at the 3rd goal. I was very angry. I shouted to Appleton that he should go away...I used different words.
Reasonable comments. The times we've played well seems to have come from the players taking the game by their own initiative rather than any tactical plan.Injuries, suspensions or illness aside, there seems to be no system when a Blackpool team.takes the field. This must be the manager's fault; either that or the players aren't capable of following orders. Appleton has had plenty of time to assert his philosophy but it's just the same old same old hoofball.
I’m not judging Appleton one way or another, but the build up play that led to the penalty was not his fault…just crap decision making by the players. Appleton also doesn’t tell the players to pass to the opposition.Reasonable comments. I can agree with that to some extent, but wardy was off the pace from the first whistle, we were exposed down both flanks, fundamentally disorganised, we didn't look like we had a single clue what we were doing. I would say this season so far we have been battered for more than 2/3 of the time we have been playing. Last season apart from maybe three games we never looked out of place.I’m not judging Appleton one way or another, but the build up play that led to the penalty was not his fault…just crap decision making by the players. They got the normal level of support from the start but when your team is playing that badly it is really difficult to keep up the enthusiasm. Not a peep from Pool fans
one positive from today is that the next home game is in 32 days
Perhaps not spelling though.Us Blackpool fans no everything so dont start telling us we dont cus we do
11 points behind the Nobbers ..... they kicked on after we battered them, where as we've turned into a shit showWe are getting absolutely embarrassed. There is nothing to be positive about.
Pete . Decent contract with Villa & therefore big pay-off will see him right for a few years at least . I think you're kidding yourself if you think he'd turn down the opportunity to work in the prem for big money . Saddler & co are doing what they can within a budget . A smaller budget than would be available due to total lack of infrastructure investment by previous owners which is rightly being addressed .It didn't though did it? He got 3 months and will not have had a big pay off. If he had been promised the funds and players he wanted with us he wouldn't have fucked off, not that I wanted him to stay. For me the blame lies with Sadler and Mansford.
Considering how few were left, it was a solid boo. Completely deserved, regardless of injuries or whatever. Totally lacking anything that a fan wants to see, win or lose. There have been a few seasons where I’ve seen that sort of a performance in different eras and they don’t end well unless major changes happen (and that doesn’t include bringing back a solitary ex player).A few boos there at the end first time I’ve head that this season
I've read some garbage tonight but that takes the biscuit. Critchley had already been sounded out and was going before the last two games of last season. He was offered 3x his salary to go and work in the Premier League. For him it was a no brainer and when he got the call was on his way so quickly he couldn't even stop to thank the fans for their support. If things were as he wanted here I don't think he would have gone.
** embarrassing defending and goal keeping.

So the training facilities had nothing to do with it. People keep saying on here we don't sign players because of the training facilities, it's all about wages.I've read some garbage tonight but that takes the biscuit. Didn't mansford say on Ttv we have a bigger budgetPete . Decent contract with Villa & therefore big pay-off will see him right for a few years at least .
