It’s an ok game but lots of mistakes and playing the wrong ball.
Moore just made a decent save.

HT: Blackpool 0-0 Accrington Stephen Dobbie’s side yet to turn their dominance into goals, but Callum Wright is looking promising in his first outing. Stanley have had one or two moments, but Stuart Moore has made a couple of decent saves.

62' - Three changes for the Seasiders. CJ Hamilton, Luke Garbutt and Sonny Carey all leave the field, to be replaced by Brad Holmes, Josh Nyame and Will Squires.
 
How did Cal Wright look?

Hi did ok. One great shot blocked. Clearly still finding his feet.
Carey looked better but wasted several good passing opportunities.
I thought Grant looked much fitter and would be a great free agent to have back.
I thought the other two debutants Moffat and Emmerson did ok but look miles off the first team.
Alex Lankshear 5 looked a great prospect and I liked the look of Josh Nyame 18.
However the standout player was Stuart Moore who made several outstanding saves.m
 
I agree with most that were there. Stuart Moore was outstanding today in all but his distribution (there is a common theme.)
Alex Lankshear looks a very good prospect with pace and power and Grant Ward looked much stronger than two weeks ago at Bamber Bridge. Still can pick a pass and had a couple of crunching tackles. If the price is right he has to be worth a punt.
Personally I thought Callum Wright drifted in and out of the game, but would certainly never judge on one outing.
 
Moore, Carey and Ward did ok for me. Too early to judge Wright. Difficult recognising who the others were, apart from Garbutt and CJ. Good run out for all of them. First time at Longridge, nice views of countryside.
 
Grant Ward did OK today but a career in football can be very tough and it's tough decision for Grant but I don't think signing him would improve the squad.
Calum Wright did alright. He's a very young looking 22 and if I hadn't known better I might have thought he was a promotee from u18s. I just thought he lacked a bit of physicality but he definitely showed some promise.
It was a dead heat for MOM between Alex Lankshear (who started at CB and finished at LB) and Stuart Moore.

Anyone think Brad Holmes is back in contention again for the first team at some point this season now, or has he fallen behind by not getting a loan??

Thanks for the summary Insider. I've just read the write up on the official site and Stuart Moore gets a couple of good mentions. Are you able to expand a little based on what you saw: command of area, handling of crosses talking to his defence Confidence?

He is a far better keeper than the current number 2 and he is wasted as a number 3 in my view.

Very simple answer, he made some bloody good saves, one in particular low down just inside his right hand post and another right at the end tipping a shot round the post again.He wasn't particularly called upon to command his area but when required he did so. Held onto to routine crosses, his distribution was just OK.

Brad went on an initial one month loan to Fylde on 6 Aug. I don't think he featured for them last Saturday so he maybe back at Blackpool or he may just have been brought back for this game which appears to be allowable under youth loan rules.
He can go out on another youth loan.
Whenever I see Brad play the manager(s), and he's been managed by a few different ones recently, always seem to play him as a winger, in fact very similar as to how we now are playing Corbeanu.
Our coaching staff quite frequently identify skills in players that I don't see, playing Tayt Trusty at CB is another prime example.

Think 18 was Lescott who came on for last 20 minutes and passed to Holmes for the goal

Stuart Moore pulled off three or four top class saves. He is a taller than Grimmy and my only observation was that he didnt come out to collect as many crossess as I felt a goalie of his size should. Having said that his saves were really top drawer.

Funny with Grant as he did a great job in League One but I wonder now if he's too rusty to expect him to make a difference with this side. Amazed no one hasn't taken a punt on him. I bet someone like Rochdale or Fleetwood would bite his hand off.

I think he's still not quite back to full fitness, although by the sounds of it he's closer than he has been, I think with the window closed somebody will make a move for him soon.
