It was the 1933/34 FA Cup third round visit of Blackpool that attracted the highest attendance ever to witness a Cheltenham home fixture, with 10,389 gathering at the Cheltenham Athletic Ground. Southern League Cheltenham were beaten 3-1 on that occasion.
