We listen to BBC RadioLancs most days. However I'm getting really pissed of with the excessive time and bias they give to T'Rovers.
Tony Mowbray and BR get more time than all the other Lancashire clubs put together.
We call it 'BBC Radio Blackburn. That's what it was until it became Radio Lancs.
Anyone feel the same?

Yea, DP. I listen to Graham Liver in the mornings, entertaining stuff to have on in the background. But he is a Rovers ST holder and starting to get on my wick. I messaged him this morning, a bit of a cheeky wind up re our game at Ewood. He totally ignored it the git.

And G Liver was actually born in Lancaster. But I suppose you know that. I like his prog but too much BR.
 
I don’t think this is the case Dave.
I too listen but I consider them to be fair.
I think when you only want to listen to news about your own team one tends to shun the others. You’ve got to remember that they cover 6 league teams plus one or two in lower leagues like AFC Fylde but not as much air time is given to the latter.

I think another point you have to bear in mind is news worthy stories. If say Club A are not signing players in this window yet Clubs B & C are B & C will get air time straight away. But it doesn’t mean to say A will miss out overall.

I seem to remember that this was discussed on BBC Radio Lancashire and it was explained in detail.
 
Only ever listened to sport- BFC and Lancs CC. Only listen to the action now- no preview show, post match. Tomorrow I'll turn it on at 2.58- hope for DAB and find it's shitty 104.5 and turn it off 3.46 (1 min added time), back on 4.04, off at final whistle.*

Going back further I used to listen to Gary Hickson Sunday night on occasion.

* Actually will have a day trip to Albania with Tangerine Airways, most likely.

Over Christmas on some matchdays we were the only team playing, and in the hour between 5 and 6 Rovers STILL got more airtime than us.

Try Talkport 2 on DAB instead. Giving us (or more likely, Fulham😗) full match coverage

Radio Blackbuuuuuuurn is painful. Giving airtime to chumps like Steve Eyre and previously, arch Nobber Lennie Johnrose. We do, however, have the Dream team to represent us on and off 🏝️ 😂
 
If I was on the radio I would be giving my team plenty of airtime as well because my team is more interesting than any other in the championship.

At least its not in Nobberville ,that would be unbearable.😆😝
 
Many years ago when they had one game on a Saturday, radio Blackburn chose to broadcast a Rovers middle of the table last day of the season game.
Our game, albeit a lower league was to decide if we got a playoff place.
I rang them up, fuming.....tossers. Always been biased.
 
Always been the same. However, if it was based in Blackpool who do you think would get the most coverage.

The whole point is that it is 'BBC Radio Lancashire' now, not BBC Radio Blackburn.
That, to me, means equality reporting etc.
It doesn't happen.
