Just looking on the Bolton forum and most seem to be very impressed with our performance.
We were "Superb" and "Quality".

Let's remember where we've come from, used to championship football.Just looking on the Bolton forum and most seem to be very impressed with our performance.

And another loss. Newsflash…success is about winning games and accumulating pointsNot surprised to hear that at all…. They’re spot on
A few of the muppets on this forum could do to take a leaf out of their book and get a bit of perspective.
Bolton are also a very good side… Another really good game of football
I think I must have been watching a different game .Agreed , a terrific game of football , a draw would have been a fair return.
And another loss. Newsflash…success is about winning games and accumulating points
Not sure I'd go that far.I’m not remotely concerned about the result today to be honest. We’re already ahead of where I expected us to be this season. The performances are improving… The quality of our overall play is improving..
Success is inevitable, it’s just a matter of time.
We’ll finish this season strongly … I don’t expect us to finish top 2, but we’ll be in the Playoffs and no doubt the form side. Not sure I'd go that far.
I'm in two minds.
On the one hand we did go toe to toe and played some good football, but a bit lacking in the final 3rd, but they were too, there wasn't loads of chances. We were missing Lavery, Casey, Norburn only just back after a while.
On the other we need to start picking up results. Too many errors, too many poor halves, some poor game management needs addressing. We need to find an effective combination up top.
Maybe we are making some incremental improvements and if we do carry that on and it clicks up top, we can play some great football too good for a lot of sides in this division.
Maybe bit by bit we are adjusting and ridding ourselves of the relegation season mentality.
But it needs to happen faster and we need a run of results now. Some back to back wins.
That would be great for confidence.
Next up Shrewsbury (H) Portsmouth (A) Northampton (H).
If we are to be up there we need to be looking at those home games for wins and we need to start putting a top side to the sword really too.
We’ve played 3 of the top 4 and collected 1 point, how have we shown we can beat them?Let's remember where we've come from, used to championship football.
There were times where we went toe to toe and matched them.
They didn't have a load of chances, nor did we.
The no shots on target is disappointing but some half chances were still there, just didn't hit the target. The CJ one and Pennington, if its on target it's a goal. I can accept it not counting as on target if we've got to that stage. 1 should hit and go in but it didn't.
We had that spell of giving the ball away 1st half then again 2nd and it cost us.
We also didn't play that well in the final 3rd.
We've seen the best this league can offer and we can beat them, on our day can be as good as them, but also on others fall slightly short.
I've not seen us be consistently better than any of them though.
We need more consistency, less mistakes and to manage games better.
A good technical game in many ways but we've come out on the wrong side again.
We beat Barnsley, although not really convincingly. Drew at Oxford. Close today, Peterborough was poor until we had 10, then dominated. Should have beat Charlton, when drew with Portsmouth today. Derby it was a good game and close to being back into it. Got hit on the break. We’ve played 3 of the top 4 and collected 1 point, how have we shown we can beat them?
I thought it was a poor game tbh lacking any real quality. They were slightly better .
Have to keep reminding myself it’s league 1 at the end of the day.
What it does confirm is that no team so far has stood out .
We are as good as anyone even though todays result doesn’t reflect that .
We can go up this season.
There are no stand out teams .
Very rarely this season have I thought we played well, win or lose, but today I was impressed with what I saw on the pitch apart from gifting them the ball for the goal.
Both managers did their homework on the opposition and Dembele and Hamilton were kept quiet whilst Bolton's midfield were taken care of. It was good to see Pool trying to get the ball forward quicker and Norburn's return and influence will hopefully be rewarded. Both teams seemed to cancel each other out but, for me at least, I enjoyed the game between 2 decent sides who should be there or thereabouts at the end of the season. If only Critch had an effective Plan B during the 90 minutes it could be the difference between success and failure.
You show you can beat teams by beating them. It’s ok saying we were competitive, we were as good as them, we were unlucky etc. all valid excuses perhaps but thats what they are, excuses. At the end of the season the promoted teams are the ones with the most points. Some teams might not deserve it, but if they have the points they will be promoted. We aren’t winning enough games, end of.We beat Barnsley, although not really convincingly. Drew at Oxford. Close today, Peterborough was poor until we had 10, then dominated. It's been competitive against them all really.
Just need to improve and find some form.
Although yes I would have wanted more but we aren't consistently better than any yet, bar small spells, but also aren't being completely outplayed, far from it. Many games are close, can go either way, but we haven't managed to make then go our way enough.

Thought we were poor on the ball to be honest and have found us quite unimpressive all season.Just looking on the Bolton forum and most seem to be very impressed with our performance.
We were "Superb" and "Quality".
Remember the words "should" and "plan b". There's time yet hopefully.Great Post but for us being there or thereabouts. Critchley is naive in too many areas.
Have you ever posted anything positive....ever?Just proves how shit the league is. We were poor in the key areas of the pitch - where it matters.
Absolutely spot on @A_Tense_Grin - when you look at our results this season there is the simple reason we have failed - too late to address it in January - probably - and going in to next season we have a lot of contracted dead wood!Just proves how shit the league is. When you have probably one of the top 5 strikers in the league and create next to nothing for him, you have to worry.Crikey talk about glass half empty .
There’s loads of games left and we could get into the play offs .
You can’t write us off yet no way .
No need to worry. He just needs to put someone up front with him. We've got plenty to choose from. When you have probably one of the top 5 strikers in the league and create next to nothing for him, you have to worry.
I know we were missing the resurgent Dougall, but, here I think I'm right, having Dale, Carey and Morgan on at the same time means you're not going to create much.
And why the fuck wouldn’t they, it’s a local derby and a massive game for both clubs, what would you expect? A nice smile and polite applauseYou'd think they'd just won the European Cup the way they celebrated their goal.
Me think they maybe taking the pisssssssOne poster seemed very impressed.
Proportion is all I require, not that you’d have any understanding of that. And by the way, emojis are for children. And why the fuck wouldn’t they, it’s a local derby and a massive game for both clubs, what would you expect? A nice smile and polite applause
