Don’t forget Bolton have been building for this over the past few years, we are recovering from a wreckage of a season . We won’t go up this season, but we might be a hell of team nextWe are a mid table team at best under Critchley
Leave Critchley at Bolton and bring Evo back to Blackpool
Yeah that, all over the bloody place!Wandering? Lonely as a cloud?
Because we have no manager but a decent coach. He's clueless. Why do we have to go behind before we can go on the attack?
No way. There was nothing between the teams today and it took a phenomenal strike from an ex-Blackpool apprentice to separate the teams. Plus both sides had plenty of chances so the score could have been very different. I'll be amazed if you don't at least make the playoffs. We are a mid table team at best under Critchley
Mañana Mañana MañanaDon’t forget Bolton have been building for this over the past few years, we are recovering from a wreckage of a season . We won’t go up this season, but we might be a hell of team next
Personally I’d have hooked CJ and left Dembele on2nd half was poor again.
I like Critchley, but it was obvious from 60 minutes that we needed to change things.
Took a wonder strike, but it was always likely to happen with the space they had.
I feel for the 4000+ of our fans who were there; you deserved better.
Really disappointed in that.
Edit 1: Rhodes should have been subbed.
Edit 2: That was a view from the telly, which obviously gives a different perspective.
Still feel shit.
Stop making excuses.Don’t forget Bolton have been building for this over the past few years, we are recovering from a wreckage of a season . We won’t go up this season, but we might be a hell of team next
0 shots on target.
What bullshit. Less than 2 years ago they went begging for a loan to keep them in business.Don’t forget Bolton have been building for this over the past few years, we are recovering from a wreckage of a season . We won’t go up this season, but we might be a hell of team next
Were not but too many times a mistake or a poor half is costing us.Even game ,beaten by well taken goal tbf
We're not shite
Evatt learned his coaching under Larry, Tony Parkes and Ian Holloway. He's a good coach. Another coach at Blackpool learnt his craft under Ian Holloway. Just saying.Who's going to suggest Dobbie first? My money is on ....
Or we might just sink into L1 nothingness as we've found our level. When you get relegated you have to bounce back with a bit of authority but we just seem to be meandering along. It just looks like we really are a L1 team who managed to creep into the Championship for a couple of seasons instead of believing we should be there permanently.Don’t forget Bolton have been building for this over the past few years, we are recovering from a wreckage of a season . I don’t think it’s a question of choosing to battle next season instead of this. It’s more a case of , is this team ready ? I’d suggest not. There’s quality but we only play for parts of matches and the results aren’t coming. Obviously I hope we come goodOr we might just sink into L1 nothingness as we've found our level. The other thing is there are teams like Stockport, Wrexham , Notts County who could come steaming past us next season who have come from non league. You have to battle for now not next season.
It's a fair point. The quality that we do have is obvious: Pennington, Marv, Husband (with reservations), Casey, Dougall, Hamilton, Dale, Dembele, Rhodes, Lyons. The others are some with potential and some we need to offload. We still need more quality
Yes today not a single shot on target so presume we were playing for a 0-0 draw how sadI didn’t want him back, and my view hasn’t changed, he’s a boring, negative individual.
I would delete Hamilton from that list. He’s only quality for about one game in six, we need more consistency than that. It's a fair point. No AB. CJ needs to be fed the ball properly. If he's not, it's not his fault. I see him as a Matthews type of player. He can destroy their defence if he's given the right ball.I would delete Hamilton from that list. He’s only quality for about one game in six, we need more consistency than that.
Mathews could beat a man, the only man Hamilton can beat most of the time is himself. No AB. CJ needs to be fed the ball properly. If he's not, it's not his fault. I see him as a Matthews type of player. He can destroy their defence if he's given the right ball.
I understand that . Just don't want us to get caught in waiting for tomorrow and it never comes. There will be new challenges and new teams next season and it could be even harder. We are in L1 and I think we should be doing better. You probably feel the same.I don’t think it’s a question of choosing to battle next season instead of this. I absolutely do, I’m hugely frustratedI understand that . Just don't want us to get caught in waiting for tomorrow and it never comes. There will be new challenges and new teams next season and it could be even harder. We are in L1 and I think we should be doing better. You probably feel the same.
That's just not a true statement though, is it?A lot of our players looked like League Two players today. That is a real problem. Throw in the shit formation and Critchley is heading for big trouble.
Said to my missus if we had Evo in charge we'd be pushing an automatic slot! Critch may be a nice guy but without experience behind him he won't be taking us anywhere..Don’t forget Bolton have been building for this over the past few years, we are recovering from a wreckage of a season . We played well? I find that difficult to comprehend when we barely had a shot and looked shaky at the back. That's just not a true statement though, is it?
We played well and were unlucky to lose. Sometimes it happens and you don't need to wet your pants over it!
Their no 8 absolutely ran the whole show. Looked for the ball and continually played it forward to one of their players. Tidy player and exactly what we are crying out for.The game, like most football matches, was decided in the midfield. Their numbers 8 & 19 looked after the ball well and mostly looked to go forward. We had Morgan & Carey who were anonymous and Norburn who doesn’t have an attacking pass in him. Missed Dougall in there today.
Bolton weren’t great just well organised, we weren’t awful but gave possession away too easily too often, one of which led to the goal.
How long are you prepared to wait?I don’t think it’s a question of choosing to battle next season instead of this. It’s more a case of , is this team ready ? I’d suggest not. There’s quality but we only play for parts of matches and the results aren’t coming. Obviously I hope we come good
Totally agree.I didn’t want him back, and my view hasn’t changed, he’s a boring, negative individual.
Please don't compare CJ to Sir StanNo AB. CJ needs to be fed the ball properly. If he's not, it's not his fault. I see him as a Matthews type of player. He can destroy their defence if he's given the right ball.
He was certainly the stand out player this afternoon.Their no 8 absolutely ran the whole show. Looked for the ball and continually played it forward to one of their players. Tidy player and exactly what we are crying out for.
I hope Sadler was watching, it just strengthened our case to get Moxon in as soon after midnight on New Year's Eve by the bucketful.
