Really don't get what the problem is here. Tonys a die hard Blackpool fan so really don't understand all the criticism he gets.
It's a fine line this one. I've met Tony many times at club functions, he's one of life's nice guys, great banter, loves the club and fair play to him that he has kept going through all of the club's trials and tribulations.
The question is as the club moves forward, should that job move forward with it? You don't employ someone just because they are a die hard fan. Am sure what ever Tony does in the future, on or off the mic, he will do a brilliant job.

How can the job move forward?

You basically announce the teams the goals the substitions the extra time and do a raffle birthdays golden gambleetc at half time .

It's pretty much the same at any club isn't it ?
