Booster jab info may help some....

Looked today through NHS and it was showing Kirkham as nearest and earliest- last week Nov. Had another google and you can book the Yeadon Way one pretty much anytime you wanted today, tomorrow, any day you chose.

Might help someone?

I’ve got in Moor Park vaccine centre for 24th. But to be fair that’s about 6 months after my second jab so am ok with that and having my flu jab this weekend.
They say to leave at least a week between the flu jab and covid booster so all good 👍

Booked the booster jabs online via the national NHS website for the wife and I this afternoon for 1 December. Just 6 months after our second jabs. Dead easy. Plenty of choice

Lala, they won't give you the booster jab unless it's more than 6 months since your 2nd jab.
I just about got in as it was 6 months and a day from my 2nd.
Just make sure you're no earlier otherwise they won't do it.

But if your under 65 you can’t find anywhere in Blackpool for a flu jab. Massive shortage of the vaccines apparently.
One of the reasons I booked and had my flu jab at Lloyds Pharmacy in late September. I was willing to pay the £15 but they didn't charge because I was over 60 and it was the NHS policy to do the jabs and they could recover the cost from the NHS

l was booked in last Thursday, turned up and was told there are no vaccines at the moment for under 65s and didn't know when they would some in, rang quite a few places today without success.

Hmm I will check 👍 They took my NHS number and stuff online so I assumed that would then only offer me appointments after the 6 months as the system should know when I had it 💁‍♀️

Just ckecked my med records online . 2nd jab was 21st May and booster booked for 24th November 👌

Must be me double jabbed barely 50 and can't be arsed with the text I received for the ordinary Flu Jab for free when it's normally for the over 65 it makes no sense.
Not having the booster Covid either .

They want to limit potential nhs resource overload I suppose so are happy to vaccinate any possible risk group.
And I just don’t wanna be ill 🤣

I won’t be having the flu jab but booked in a week on Saturday for Covid booster. Got in early as a main carer. This booster is meant to help against the main variants eg Delta

Walked into chemist at Moor Park Health centre to pick up prescription
Said walk in flu jabs wvrtyday between 11 and 5
Asked had jab and out - 5 minutes total ,no cost as over 50

Why are people dashing off for the flu jab? I'm 52 and won't be getting it
I‘ve never bothered having it until now (I’m 60). The reason I’ve gone for it is the awareness that although double jabbed, the effects of contracting both flu and COVID together could be quite nasty.

Got booster this morning. Used walk in centre on Yeadon Way with no booking. All done in 5mins.
I know an elderly couple thinking of going but they were hesitating not knowing which bit of Yeadon Way is it on. Is it quite close to Waterloo Road for someone not too mobile with a walking stick?
