Boris advocates masks in schools

and still not a single proven case of a child giving this Chinese flu to an adult. But of course the whole media circus around this has now moved from the old people to the legendary 'wont someone think of the children' fear factory...
 
Boris is giving headteachers discretion over whether to enforce the wearing of face masks by students. They are obviously the right people to make that decision, but I suppose the media will be trying to make an issue of it.

Quite right - headteachers should make the decision locally, as they will know the local school layout, local health advice, staffing arrangements and what other procedures can be put in place. No different from any other local risk assessment they have to make. We need to stop working on the principle that one size fits all when the incidence of the virus is very variable across the country.

It is called covid 19. Please do not use the racist term for this disease.
