Boris to Wallace

At the moment the bookies favourite to be Prime Minister.

He rose to the dizzying heights of Captain in the Army. In real life the salary is lower than a headteacher in an average sized secondary school.

Was known in the Army as Captain NoMannering, and was only in post for about 8 years. Hardly a glittering career - and he's now Defence Secretary and possibly Prime Minister.

If you stick around long enough in the Tory Party and aren't involved in any scandals, you stand a good chance of rising to the top of the mire.

Heaven help us.

In fairness he designed and manufactured 'Techno Trousers' all by himself.

So would you rather a young intelligent dynamic and confident Tory prime minister ? Thought you wanted them out ? There's no pleasing some people is there 😆.

I’ll tell you what, we’ve finally got shut of the worst PM in history, the (apparent) choices for replacement are Ben Wallace and Grant Shapps and I’d still doubt Labours chances of winning a GE. It really does show you how fucked we are as a country unless we have some serious revolutionary ideas as a populace.

Btw - anyone else reckon Suella Benjamin is simply there to test the Tory waters on how the Tory grass roots would truly react to an Asian leader/PM?

I am not saying Suella is as thick as mince but apparently she threw her ring in the hat.

After the fist pumping, massive personality that was Boris Johnson, we need a serious politician who can recover the trust and respect of the British people and around the world. He/she,does however, need a warm, frie personality and a touch of a sense of humour.

Wallace lived near me in Hornby. He always came across as a ‘bit shifty’.

My friends wife didn’t want to take the kids swimming as he was blatantly leching at her all the time.

Beyond that I’m sure he’s a top chap….

I think he's playing the longer game. Whoever takes over is going to be tarred by the same brush as the current Government, highly likely they will lose the next GE, and the Wallace rides to the rescue as the Tory's saviour, decent Ex military, hrumph, hrumph

We can then have endless fun speculating who is his Grommit

Can't happen, we're still going to get a Tory.

So a bloke who was prepared to die for our country, for what appears to be a pittance (given how I keep hearing that teachers are underpaid), is worthy of having the piss taken out of him for it only being 8 years?

You've an odd set of values.

If he becomes a polician, then yes.

He's fair game.

And 3 of my relations served in the armed forces for MUCH longer than that.

They call people like him Ladder Climbers.
