Bournemouth v Blackpool Official Matchday Thread 21.08.21

Just watched the whole match.
Not as bad first half as radio Lancs would have me believe.
Not as bril' second half as some posters would have me believe.

A good, competitive performance away to a strong team. That's good enough.
Lavery is being over egged. He needs support to do what he does.
Marvin was my MotM = 9/10.
Keshi played well.
Bowler was bril but needs an end product (shot or cross),
Husband was immense second half.
All ours upped their game.
I only hope that Millwall isn't after the Lord Mayor's show.
Couldn't give two hoots about Sunderland.

I watched the game earlier and come to the same conclusion as you, keeping an eye on the stats and reading the comments on the game thread I was expecting a real dire first half, I was pleasantly surprised to see we were more competitive than led to believe.

"In saying that, I think it was probably a fair result on the scheme of things really. I thought for the first 25 to 30 minutes we were exceptional, 2-0 up and really right on the ascendancy and did very well and then probably died off at the back end of the first half, or needed half-time to come to reset a little bit.

"Then in the second half, moments in games, Dom goes through to maybe make it three and the game probably out of sight.

"And then before you know it, the changes of emotions in a football match that it goes 2-1, 2-2 and from there really we just lacked an intensity about us really.

"We struggled a little bit. Fair play to Blackpool. I thought they did very well today, I thought they got themselves back in front, caused us problems in the second half.
Isn't it refreshing to see a manager say it how it is opposed to chatting pure bollocks?

He could easily say it was all in their hands and it was them who threw it away.
