Bowler

Tin hat on......

All well and good constantly beating the full back but his final ball is dreadful. And I’m not just basing that on tonight’s game.

Let’s be honest his goal on Saturday was as much poor goalkeeping as great finish. He really needs to be producing quality balls into the box at the end of those brilliant jinking runs.

Not perfect but a stand out player for us. The opposition would love to not have him to worry about. I’m hoping Demi Mitchell comes back strong like he left off in pre season and we’ll have another threat to help the cause.

He's the only one willing to shoot.
Very unlucky with a curler at the death.
We did get into some very promising positions at the byline last night but constantly failed to beat their first defender. Maybe it's the strikers positioning that didn't offer an alternative pull back for bowler etc.

Let’s face it, if his final ball / shot was good we wouldn’t have had a sniff of signing him.

When he runs at players we see why he was at Everton. When he delivers most of his final balls we see why he is at Blackpool. He has talent it's up to him and the manager to improve his end product and become the complete player. If he does this he is a match winner.

I missed out on last night match, I was at the Empress ballroom.
Received a text off a Huddersfield supporting mate who went to the game.
The text read "that Bowler is some player for your lot wish Town had him"

It seems some Blackpool supporters don't appreciate what they have, or just like moaning just for the sake of it.

I wouldn’t say it’s moaning for the sake of it. I like the way he takes on and beats the defenders but he does need to deliver a better final ball, I’m sure he will work on that.

I might be him not producing or it might be the strikers not getting in the right position to receive the ball? Or a bit of both?

That was echoed on the Hudders fans forum, quite a few posts about how good they thought Bowler is and wish they had him!

With others under performing I am not sure why Bowler is singled out for his lack of end product. At least his skills draw the attention of other defenders. It’s a shame our other strikers and midfielders are not able to take advantage of the space….

One supporter is blaming Max & TJJ, now another is blaming Josh - at least Keogh can sleep easy 😉
Josh is only 22 and he's missed a lot of football due to injuries - hence his release by Everton.
Critch and the coaches will sort out his development needs, and personally I think he's a great signing.
With development and no injuries, Josh has the ability to become our new Wes.

His final ball is woeful but this can be coached, he either overhits it or passes it to the goalkeeper for some reason. Sort that out and we have a hell of a player on our hands. Definitely an exciting prospect with the right coaching.
Defenders are no mugs in this division and he scares a lot of them to death.

Service to our 2 strikers was and is always abysmal.
