Football Insider post as if it's imminent, then other football pages start putting it quoting them. Whips everyone up into a frenzy just for it to come out that he's not even being considered? Madness.

It’s strange as Pete O’Rourke is normally a fairly solid reporter, and they weren’t hedging … but it’s interesting that he never tweeted it
 
Interestingly this is a second news report, along with CD being the new sporting director, that the club has denied.

I wonder if the club are trying to catch an inside mole like Tyrion did on Game of Thrones, telling different people names to see which one ends up in the news. Be funny if that was the case!
 
As I said the other day, looks like operation misdirection is working brilliantly, so that when a popular name does get the job, the feeling is even better. 😏

Apparently he’s got a tattoo on his arse cheek of Billy Davies to remind him of his connections with Forest, but I'd still give him the Director of Football job!
 
Bowyers odds have drifted out to 1/1 despite the report his appointment was imminent and The Dobsters odds have now shortened to 2/1.

I actually find this odds nonsense quite good fun. Makes up for the lack of football, only problem is we always seem to be looking for a new manager these days.

It is entertaining, definitely more than we saw at Bloomfield Road for most of last season.
 
As long as its not Pete Wild, the stats make grim reading to me.

Lost 20 out of 46 and scored 47 goals.

Just give it Dobbie please Mr S, you know it makes sense.

You really think fan power is top of Sadler’s chart after the whole Raggy & the players meeting?

Would you be happy if owner of a business your high level staff allowed customers in to tell them how to do your job/run your business?
 
Can't believe people are stupid enough to believe these "sites" & "sources" they obviously just make up stuff by putting 2+2 together & coming up 17896543 stories from it . All about spreading so many things about that by law of statistical chance sooner or later one will end up being true . Just how gullible are people that they think "oh yes that sounds right" then go about spreading it around . Thick as shit & ruled by social media at its worst
 
Don’t we just love the rumours, I know it’s difficult but don’t get drawn into stories/speculation until it’s formally announced. Good to have discussions but not too seriously about these sort of things. One thing we know is SS is going to make what he believes is the best possible appointment for the club, and to be honest it’s his money so rightly it’s his opinion that counts.
