Please buy your tickets in advance,
in season 2019/2020 there was NO PAY ON THE DAY just hoping this might be changed although I think covid might have an say on the matter.

Match day programmes will be on line only and I am lead to understand they will be FREE to look at on line for match day ticket holders

Coming by road.
There is no baloon fiesta this season
Bristol grinds to a halt in the summer time so set out VERY early or make a weekend of it and stay at weston super mare or Bristol itself

Parking is normally in the streets around the area as long as you are there by 1pm please don't block drive ways or park on corners.

TRAINS,don't let having to catch a bus replacement service from Bristol Parkway to Bristol Temple meads/Parson street put you off coming by train, still think it will be quicker that travelling by road.
If you are coming down by train,an appeal to purchase the tickets to PARSON STREET station. Its the same price and it gives us ammunition to
get better facilities for the official train station for Ashton gate

Casualty and Holby City were filmed in the City don't ask me about either of the programmes cos I think their both rubbish
The young ones was also filmed in the BS7 area of the City(actually its Bishopston)
Finally the block of flats on the left behind the dolman stand side as you are in the away end is "the" block of flats in "fools and horses"
Bring your camera and turn up early if you want to take any photo's
Pubs possibly best one are in the cumberland road basin area novia scotia pump house and the cottage.
suggest park your car and then walk to the ground.
Harbourside area of the central area is very good

BBC Radio station is radio Bristol which has frequencies and 94:9 and DAB (and 95:5 up till 3pm),
with full match day commentary on BBC radio Bristol DAB.

If you need any further info, don't be afraid to ask
Any indication of how many will travel?
These are the official figures for your last two visits to ashton gate
2012/13 487
2011/12 816

Thank you, very useful. We have booked into a pub at Wotton under Edge and was thinking of catching the train from Yate, would you recommend that.?

Good decision, but make sure your their(at Yate) in good time the road towards the train station gets very busy at any time,
and you'll need some where safe and legal to park.Although there is a car parking available at the station. Not sure of the cost though.
I have noticed there are SOME trains toward Bristol Temple meads(and onto Parson Street)
According to the time table and to the best of my local knowledge these are those trains
09:08
10:08
11:08
12:13
13:08
Involves TWO trains and does not require A BUS or COACH replacement service
You will need to change at Filton Abbey wood or Lawrence Hill
Yate is an unstaffed station,if your in largish group(3 or more of you, I think) you can buy a group save from the ticket collector
which means one traveller goes free
