Bristol Rovers v Blackpool Matchday Thread

Anyone know if Edwards is injured? Not great on the ball but I'd rather have him in the middle of a back three than Heneghan. Grayson made Edwards look poor by playing him on the right

At last a positive post - I always said consolidate this season and crack on next season - new manager in place , and make a push - work in progress here - Sadler is doing a lot off the pitch - and I’m sure it will happen on it soon
I’ve said this , I think it’s lack of confidence at moment and leadership , lack off , could do with an ugly 1.0 fight against the wall win and then proberly followed up with hammering someone , amazing confidence in football what it does or in our case dosnt
if pool had 11 men today , sounds like possible might if won , who knows

I was under the impression he was injured but never heard anything official just on what others had mentioned.

Hopefully Edwards is available next week and Gnando and Madine's injuries aren't too bad. A horrible way to lose but right now that is probably our best 11. We desperately need to get the right manager in to settle everything down.

If you try taking the game to the opposition with 10 men then you’ll concede eventually.

We have to learn to win games 1-0
Well we've tried 11 men behind the ball all season and it hasn't worked.
10 men and 80% of the time you're expected to lose.
Bristol Rovers were there for the taking, just like Sunderland, Ipswich, Wycombe, Rotherham, need I go on?
Why not have a go? IF Virtue had scored one of those chances he spurned early in the 2nd half the Rovers confidence would have been shot to shit and Blackpool could have gone on to win comfortably.
As it was, they get a goal out of the blue (their first shot on target) and its Blackpools confidence gone . They then go ahead with a deflected shot and Blackpool are chasing the game.
I honestly think Blackpool have good players but they're struggling with confidence at the moment, and I disagree with quite a few posters on here , Blackpool have had NO luck this season.

I’m staying positive and hoping the new manager gets us into shape. Lack of confidence and the fact we’re used to losing now is a huge problem but hopefully the tide will turn.

Coulda, Woulda, Shoulda....

As the saying goes, 'If my aunty had a cock and balls, she'd be my uncle'

You're right though, we have tried to defend games and we've also tried to press games, we've tired to play it long and we've tried to build from the back...Unfortunately, whatever we have tried, by and large, hasn't worked.

We lost today, because we're not good enough, on the day....It has nothing to do with luck..

We need to be fitter, possess the ball better, close down the opposition better, win the ball back better, defend better, attack better ... That means hard work, effort and a training regime that ensures the players are best equipped to carry out their roles...It means a manager who knows what he wants from the players, knows how to communicate it and works with them to achieve it.

Good sides win more games than bad sides....End Of...

Edwards has been injured but the last we heard from Larry was that he was back in training. I'd definitely play him in the centre of the defence.
