Bristol Street Motors Thingy

They haven't set a date for the draw yet (🙄), but the next round of matches will begin on the 4th December. So surely the draw will be in the next 7 days, as teams will need to arrange transport etc.

From Sly Sports site (nowt of EFL site !)

When is the draw for the round of 32?

“The first knockout round draw is yet to be confirmed by the EFL. Fixtures, however, are scheduled to be played during the week commencing Monday December 4.”

So they better get on with it !

It’s a bored midweek thing to look at until it gets to the semis. I went to all the finals and I think once I went to the northern final but that’s about all

The competition should be scrapped. I will never go to one of those games and that includes Wembley if we get there. Absolute shameful they introduced Premier League youth teams. An insult to League One and League Two clubs.

It was designed to serve a useful purpose. EFL teams get to give match time to fringe players and introduce younger players, Prem teams get to give their younger players experience against men. It's not hard to understand.

You don't even have a Season ticket Mr Kodi-stick so why would you go to this crap competition even if PL kids weren't involved.🤥

That's great that it serves a purpose but doesn't change the fact it's utterly shite and attendances reflect this.

Who has to have a season ticket? Match Day tickets are just as important and helps the club with cash flow. Not everyone needs to get a season ticket to take advantage of cheaper tickets.

Not many people do give a shit about the competition hence the attendances as I said above. It's embarrassing for a club like ours to be playing Leicester Under 23s for example. It should be boycotted.

It's all about perception. Some people label everything as shite, if it doesn't meet all their personal criteria, other people see the purpose and value of different things and choose how to spend their money according to what works for them. 👍

I went to Wednesday home and away. I only did the Hudderdfield home fixture, then watched the return fixture in the Thatched. It was packed and when Bullock scored the golden goal the place went mad.

If it's a football match involving us then it's good by me. As someone else says it fills a boring winter Tuesday or Wednesday evening.

The two LDV finals are some of my fondest memories as a BFC fan. Playoffs I'm usually too nervous to eat until after the game, whereas the LDVs we're a great day out ending in a trophy, but had we lost I'd have been fine about it!

I went to Huddersfield, got a lift with a Huddersfield fan. After we went down to 10 they battered us but couldn't score. I forget if it was the goalie or defender who dropped the ball in Bullocks lap but the drive home was hilarious!!

Wasn’t it Gareth Evans who later went on to play for us?

Me too. 2 of our 3 wins at the Millennium stadium came in the LDV finals. By far the most fan friendly place to have cup finals. They were brilliant days.

I went to Hereford when Hendry was manager. We lost 2 1.

1. What were they doing in the Northern Section?
2. Why did Hendry ever get the gig?

Was at Wednesday away and Huddersfield away as well both LDV finals. The competition has provided some great memories but as soon as PL teams took part, the whole competition was devalued even further. It's a bit like the FA Cup semi finals being played at Wembley. Awful.
