BSM vs Bolton

Not many tickets sold. Are people avoiding cause of the prices, the kick off time, or cause it’s something they have no interest in?

Exactly the same as the Forrest game people leave it until the last minute or pay on the day what's the rush?
There's definitely a big element of that, however I thought more would buy on Sat. Unless some are still waiting for a payday.

But we are a very late buying fanbase, the north was half empty not that far out from the Forest game, but ended up almost full.

It would also help if the game was pushed, it's not even had a Facebook announcement of the ticket prices, which I can only assume is an oversight...even when it was posted on twitter, which is poor tbh.

They'll move onto it soon as they always do, but I've not seen much to push this game and promote us being so close to a Wembley final and potentially winning a cup.

Some family was moaning yesterday about it being 7pm kick off
I thought it being an earlier kick off would suit families better.

And so your fixation on attendances and match promotion continues.

What do you want the club to do? Drop leaflets through the doors of 30,000 homes on the Fylde Coast to get the attendance up for this massive game?

So there shouldn't be an announcement of the prices like every other game? It's clearly an oversight.

You were the one obsessed with that Forest attendance, criticising our fans for apparently not turning up and clearly misunderstanding the factors involved.

I've just commented on the thread. Have I said anything untrue? We are a late buying fanbase and it surely can only help if an announcement of the tickets is put on a platform.

Why would you leaflet drop for a cup game like this and who is suggesting that? Daft comment.

Media team should be putting stuff out to build this up.

Clips of the 53 final, clip of Charlie Adam scoring against em in the prem, clip of Dewsbury-Hall scoring a last minute winner against 'em at home in 2019 and shots of the crowd going mental. Get your tickets, get behind the lads against the auld enemy Bolton Wanderers and see us reach the semi final.

Treat it like the occasion it is rather than a "tickets are still on sale" tweet the day of the match being the grand sum of our promotion for this match.

What the hell will sell well. Matches against premier league team, no not interested, matches against local rivals, no not for me. What a fan base. Simon Sadler must wonder why he bothers.
Really? Or owning the club will he know exactly the crowds to expect at league 1 level, the makeup of the fanbase with exiles etc.

We've had more in league 1 than ever before and for most of it weve been inconsistent and never move in the table, although obviously we were limited in the past. We'd get even more coming in if in the playoffs or above. The atmosphere was way better on Saturday, in part because winning mattered and we might actually progress towards promotion.

I don't know why they have called this the quarter final - its actually the Northerm semi-final.
I know that there are 8 teams left blah blah but 4 of them are outside our scope...
Boycott in 17, covid testricti g crowd to 4000 in 21,it will have been 2012 for most sjince they last saw us ay Wembley

Anything but a sell out is embarrassing in a derby. They may end up taking more than us!

I've been pushing tickets as much as I can, everyone should be!
Is it really a derby? The ticket sales show that is zero interest. Sad but that's the norm in the competition.

Wanting a sell out is very unrealistic. Getting 3-4k would be a reasonable ambition.

You've never been to a game against them then.
Yes went to the away game. Good local game but not a derby in my eyes. That's reserved for Preston alone. Maybe I'm wrong but just speaking from my own perspective.

The fact it's Bolton isn't the argument anyway. The problem is that it's in a competition that no one gives a shit about hence the sales.

And theiren lies the problem. Support the club or don't.

We could win this trophy for a record third time and football is all about winning things.

Win the pizza cup and finish 8th is still for me a shit season. That is the only way I can describe my feeling towards the competition.

I do. You should want to win every game. We are not that vain and deluded that we are too big for it. We are in Division 1 cos that is what we are. Check which league we have spent most seasons in during last 40 years.

How about The Football League double? Win the playoffs and that trophy! 😁

Let's be honest those two trophies are the only likely silverware we are ever likely to win again. We've
won a league once, do shit in the League Cup and FA Cup and won't be competing in Europe any time soon.

Don't be miserable, life's too short.

We are too big to be playing Premier League under 21 teams. It's a joke and selling the soul of lower league football to suit the Premier League teams.

Really?
I expected top 10 after the turmoil of last season but whilst always hopeful of promotion I saw this season of the opportunity for the squad to be properly assessed and the recruitment / clearcut to begin.
I certainly wouldn't us winning at Wembley and a top 10 a shit season.

Said it before, for some it will have been 12yrs since they last saw us there.
