First of all, thank you to all our Members, visitors and invited guests who attended what we thought a very good and positive meeting yesterday.

Congratulations to Tony Wilkinson, Francis Charlesworth and Patrick McChrystal, who were elected onto the Committee and will serve a three year term through to the AGM in 2025.

The other big item of the day was the launch of our 1953 Sweepstake. This is our way of raising funds for the future, in addition to those which we already raise from Membership income, to ensure that we can continue to do all the things we currently do for the benefit of our Members, our club and our community. The 1953 Sweepstake is open to EVERYONE - and you can sign up very easily using the link below :

In other news, the Football Supporters Association annual award ceremony is being held in London on Monday 14 November. BST will be at the event to represent ourselves and the club, as we are jointly short-listed for an award in the category of Supporter Engagement. Let's hope we can go the extra mile and win.

Signed up for two yesterday. Would be great if they can get the jackpot up to £2000 like the old gold bond.

This 'community'. Is it just the Blackpool boundaries or does it stretch to embrace the Fylde coast?

Not a dig, just something I think needs to happen and as the video shows there is the acknowledgment that there are sizeable number of STH's from outside FY1-4, the largest number being FY5-8.

What is the chant/song that Karen highlighted. Can't say I have heard any chant about women?

It's a good point and we do need to try to look further and wider over time. The young lad featured in the mascot story related by Christine at the AGM is from Wigan and is now a diehard Seasider as aresult of his experience at the club.
