Well, our strikers have scored and the players have run their hearts out, what an amazing result. Appleton's brand of football is so much better than Twatchley's I am amazed after the 2 injuries so fair play to the players.Could be a good season, Transfer window coming up, got to keep Bowler and get the lad from the Massive and 3 other players and we could be okay. You can see why the Wolves fans rate Corbenau so highly now too, we have 4 great loan signings and we could do with one more.

Just goes to show where Shayne Lavery comes alive and thats when he is inbetween the goalposts. Somebody like Gabriel driving to the byline and squaring it low across the box is exactly the service Lavery needs and to be honest just before Yates scores the equaliser I wouldve been tempted to cancel the Lavery sub as he mightve had the taste for a few more goals after that.

The warning signs were there with this ref when the absolute muppet booked Callum Connolly for a very soft shirt pull. Im stunned he has sent Sonny Carey off there.That break in play probably helped Burnley more to be honest as it broke the momentum we had going.

Lavery showed he isn’t a winger. He finishes chances and gets in the right place when confident. He had an awful game prior to his goal. But he was made to take corners and played out of position. I don’t think he fits into the plans.

The one I’m watching said Carey’s was a terrible tackle and a red card but then they said the ref couldn’t decide on the Burnley lad if it was yellow or red!! Muppet commentators
 
massively entertaining, the burnley keeper and their two centre halves are going to cost them about 40 goals this season. playing around in your own centre half is just absolute lunacy.

not a huge amount of quality on our side, 5 mins here and there. Some terrible defending for a couple of our goals, well taken goal by the canadian, after some absolute charlie chaplin defending by burnley, We could have had 8 goals today in all honesty.

a fighting performance, but i have to say giving a team that pass the ball so well going forward so much space was asking for trouble, and you could see from the first minute that their keeper and CH's were error prone.

fantastic game to watch, but . . . . . . ill wait until my heart beat gets somewhere close to normal any major comments.

He should be on the left wing like last week. NOT the right wing that’s Bowlers position 🙄

At the moment looks very much a stopgap to cover injuries. But hopefully the goal does his confidence a world of good. He's much better with no thinking time.

Keshi Anderson fit and available and he's maybe playing off the left as Appleton said he had him in his starting eleven for the Reading game before disaster struck.

Have just text a Dingle mate to ask if they got their goalkeeper out of a christmas cracker.

Yeah, I’m really not one to write a player off either. If they’re in tangerine I’ll give them my support. He was clueless today though up until the goal (which he almost put over the bar). I want to see him do well but after that performance I just can’t see it. Couldn’t get the ball over for toffee and his other chances should have been buried.

I agree he had a poor game today. He made some poor decisions but he's a sniffer not a wideman.His positioning when he's inside the six yard box is probably his strongest attribute. That one today,the one at Bristol City first day of the season last year.He gets himself into goalscoring tap in positions when he's inbetween the posts and thats where we have to use him more.
 
Fantastic get out of jail point, with our two talented kids injured.
Reckon we were all expecting a 5-1 thumping at the half way mark - I know I was.
My Burnley season ticket holder mate was a bit subdued, and said our 12th man in yellow would sort it for us .. he did.
Lavery needs to stop crossing and keep it simple - just hit it hard & on target!
