Didn't hear the presser this week, has Critch given any indication of when he's back?

Jordan was the pre match guest v Oxford in the main lounge.
He said two to three weeks but the physio said it was a case of it will be right when it's right such is the nature of a rib injury.

Bruised ribs are about a month, anything else can be 2+ months, intercostal tears are the worst in my experience, they can take forever to feel right again and flare up months later. You're better off with a fracture healing wise but it's a living hell of being stabbed every time you move for a week or so.

I cracked my rib when I was 21, took 6 weeks just to feel like I could breath normally again and then another 3-4 weeks for me to feel normal. If it's just bruised it will probably less than that, but it's not fun at all.

I have to admit that breaking my ribs was the most painful injury I've ever had. a good 8 weeks to feel better another two or three weeks to be back to almost normal.

Yeah, right .
Fkn horrible injury and really hope you avoid a coughing
Sneeze and your in Box Brothers
How long was Norburn out with the same problem? Should give you a clue as to when Rhodes may be back, but no two people are the same in their recovery process.

Thanks for that Lytham. My physio diagnosed an intercostal problem which one minute I think has cleared up, then it returns. Agony!

I’ve had broken ribs, very painful, but I also damaged the intercostal muscle, which as you say, you think it’s gone, but it hasn’t. I seem to remember it took something like 10 months to finally heal.

Fell of a ladder about 15 years ago damaged right ribs, was at least 3 months before as a side sleeper be on my favourite side which was as bad as the injury with sleepless nights.

Busted 2 ribs and a partially collapsed lung, physio insisted on deep breaths to
help recovery.Off work for 4 months and it was very painful.

Going back to the original injury, it did look entirely innocuous. The lad must have put all his weight on him in order to do that sort of damage.
