Sucession planning is what we do. Calderwood was important no doubt but we as fans need to take a breath and stop treating this like it is the end of the world and a total disaster. There are other equally credible replacements out there that will leap at the chance, if offered, to come to the mighty. Critch and the club will make the right appointment. ✅ So let's all just calm down.....he has moved to be nearer his family and that's fair enough.

Oh yeah he used to be manager of Notts Forest didn’t he? If his family lives in Nottinghamshire or somewhere around these parts then yeah it does make sense. Daz is right, it is a blow but it is not the end of the world, there are brilliant defensive coaches out there, we just need to pick the right one that will suit the team. I wish Calderwood all the best in his career and he will always be welcomed back to the mighty.

I definitely think he had a big influence but I do agree too much credit is afforded to him by some, I think it was the get out of jail free card for some so that they didn't have to admit they'd got it wrong about Critchley.
