Camera Position

Yes, the misting up is a problem on the east camera as it is more exposed to the weather. Hope they find a solution or it could be a frustrating season watching

I liked the static camera angles. I think they have two cameras on the east, one on the old gantry one on the new. I agree with 1966, should be easy to wipe when they cut away... or could use rainex lol

During the Everton match they hardly needed to move the camera under the east save for a gentle left and right. Last night they were trying to do way too much moving and getting closer zooms that you couldn’t follow the game properly. Coupled with the pointless replays of anything but the goal action and it was a bit dismal. I think we would have forgiven a chamois leather wipe during the coverage even if they didn’t cut away!

Don't want to be too disparaging but if I get the feeling they will have employed a couple of 17 year old students who have an interest in the media and in effect it was hospital radio coverage.

I thought the Everton coverage was excellent but the Blackburn game was awful.
As said above, replays of nothing important and I still haven't seen our goal properly.

Is it a case of the Everton production team having years of experience and top notch equipment.

Whereas we saw how Everton did things one afternoon and tried to reproduce it, and got no where near?

Agree with some of the others if it’s like the Blackburn game, it’ll be a waste of a tenner every weekend.

It wasn't even that bad? Sure, a few issues and errors but it looks to me like whoever is doing it hasn't done much of this before and learning.

Get a grip folks.
i agree,
compare the most recent game to that first game against that was shot on an iPhone i think its as massive improvement, at least we now have a score and time as well. tbh im just glad i can watch the team play again

I think it's worth hanging fire to see what the iFollow coverage is like before forming too many opinions. The company that did the Everton and Blackburn games was inPlayer. They have different streaming technology, so that's one thing definitely different. They also provided at least some of the cameras for the two matches. So we don't know what the quality of the main (probably only) camera is going to be, and how good the camera operator is. I'd look at the Port Vale coverage as more of an indicator than the two home games.

Was a bit bizarre that the free streams on YouTube seemed better quality than the Blackburn stream. Was still watchable mind, the only thing that was annoying was missing the goal for an unnecessary replay during open play!

On a more positive note, the view is so much better from the East. Will make us look much more professional in the future, showing our main 3 stands rather than the 'orrible temporary East Stand

If anyone is expecting anything decent from I-Follow they are going to be hugely disappointed.
Unlike Everton there simply isn't the money available on a production level so you get one camera in the middle and someone with a computer showing the replays.
Paid for it last year a few times but away from this pandemic anything that makes fans turn up at not sit at home gets a 👍 from me long may it stay shit.
