Can’t understand why Sadler is getting blamed

It’s all critchleys fault Sadler had a plan with critch , it was working , critch signed a 4 and a half year contract then left us goosed after a month or so. I hope to god we don’t go down but if we do get a critchley type manager . And if we’re competing in league one for promotion it’s far better than the miserable feeling I have every time we lose. Blame critch he’s a cxxt. Look where it’s got him . Dxck

I agree, why is this Simon Sadlers fault ? …… after Critchley signed a four year contract I should imagine there was a bit of relaxation because they thought there was 4 years of stability …… no wonder there was no plan in place for him leaving a few weeks after signing the bloody thing ?
Yeah, not his fault NC ran away, not his fault the Chinese infected the world with covid, not his fault Putin invaded Ukraine, not his fault the Chinese basically kicked him out of Hong Kong. All these problems have had their impact.

Firstly, getting blamed for what?

Secondly, he's the boss, he's Mansford's boss. He gets to make the decisions and so must take responsibility and credit when it's due and that hasn't been lacking.

Not Critchley's fault that SS et al had no Plan B for his leaving and then made awful decisions.

I think most have faith in what SS is doing off the pitch, but at the end of the day it's a football club and football is the benchmark.

Not sure you can really blame Critchley, for one leaving and two for the position we are in. What happened to the plan we had? The direction we wanted to go in? The style of play we wanted to see?

We should have had a list of candidates that fit the profile way before Critch left, so if he did leave, next one up. We obviously didn’t have that as we seemed to have gone through the usual process of interviewing random managers, then giving it to Appleton who shouldn’t have been anywhere near.

Not saying Sadler is directly at fault, however I can’t see how Critch is more at fault personally.

You only need to take a look at the elite top 6 teams in the PL to answer your question HSS.
When they're winning & at the top - that's down to the manager & the player, no credit ever goes to the owners.
When they're losing, everyone gets it, but mainly the owners for not investing in the worlds best players & manager etc.
A clubs season is assessed by what they've achieved on the field of play, not by promises of a 'sometime in the future' new stand & (maybe) a new training ground.
When a cheap squad of odd bods & injury prone players, is as weak & non combative as ours, & consecutive managers have been wrong for the club, I'm sorry, but the book stops with the board.
Even PNE are an established mid table club & having them take the p*ss at our current situation, is galling.

Because people always look for someone to blame!

Simon Sadler has been great for the club. OK we are still at the old training ground but the development around Bloomfield Rd is just as (if not more) important. Something going back into the community. Most kids around there have sod all. It would be nice for them to have something they can enjoy and benefit from.

Still miserable?
No. Anyone will understand.

Have a word with yourself …. How can a club like ours have a list of replacements for a manager that signed a 4 year contract 8 months earlier….. utter bollocks

We clearly didn’t and that cost us. Why can’t we have a list of potential managers? Other clubs work to that model, why can’t we? Oh, are we one of those who see us as little old Blackpool?

No. I don’t see us like that in fact I’m constantly banging the drum about us not being seen as small time. My point is that you can’t expect the club to have compiled a shortlist of candidates when you have a manager in place, seemingly tied down to a long term contract. Unless you’re Manchester City, United, Chelsea etc…. and you have massive pulling power you simply can’t be that confident to have a list of targets when things are going really well. Football at our level just doesn’t work like that. Critchley leaving in the way he did would have blindsided the majority of clubs in our division. That’s one of the reasons why there’s so much managerial turnover.
