Can anyone remember the last time Blackpool went through the festive period without a defeat . I have watched pool for 53 years and I don't remember. Not only that ,but the 2 games we have played so far over this period they would have been desperate for 3 points in front of their own fans as they were both in relegation dog fights like us. Well if we get something against Sheffield then that's exactly what we have done . Not bad for a manager that Blackpool fans abuse.

Does Sunderland New years day not also count as the festive season does for me?
As to get something out of those two games it's going to be tough SU are very good and both sides have sold out the whole East so going to be like a home game for them.

Yes ,your right ,but historically we lose nearly every game , probably because of the night life here. Anyway its still on and I think we are capable as long as we keep 11 men on the pitch.

Your optimism is great and should be applauded. I hope we get 6 points but based on our current performances unfortunately is likely to be nearer zero as much as it hurts me to feel that way.

Unbeaten runs are good if you add the wins in.

We need wins, ok draw kept us ticking over but won't get us out of it.

It's good we haven't been beaten yet but we still need to go up another gear.

It's what you do over 46 games that count and define where you finish in May. Just checked Pool's Xmas / New Year results in 1955/56 ( highest ever lg finish) and it was not an unbeaten period.
