I’m going to kick it off with a no I’m afraid. If Barnsley and Oxford win their games in hand we will be 10 points behind. It’s a big ask, even with Rhodes in place.

Both yes and no from me.

Yes because the players are there and they're good enough to be top 6 backed by the goals of JR, but sadly no because the approach away especially (I'll include NT home) won't produce enough points. At the end of the day 3 points from Portsmouth doesn't compensate for 0 at other inferior teams, and might have just been down to broken clock management.

With the correct signings and no one catastrophic leaving, 100%. Something has to give away from home, if NC doesn't change when things are going wrong then I find it hard to argue we will. However I'm confident (ATM) we will start to build momentum.

I think we can, but I’m not going to lose heart if we finish top ten this season and rebuild from there.

League One is tougher than it looks.
This rebuild is such a cop out. If we are stuck in this division next year we will have a serious financial issue. League one is no tough. It just has a different style and needs from the upper divisions.

I have no desire to stay in this division, but I’m not going to pretend we deserve to be in the championship just because we just came down.

Can you please explain why League One is not a tough, highly competitive division? Why are the points from about 5th-12th place always so tight every year?

As it stands I’ve voted no.

Would really have to start picking up away wins and continue with are very good home form just can’t see it myself would loved to be proved wrong.

And even if we did improve who above us is going to falter? Need 3 teams to hit a brick wall.

Just too many ifs in my opinion.

We have got to get past two of the top 7 who are well ahead of us. You could see Stevenage possibly having a really poor second half of the season but I am not sure any others are going to.

To put pressure on the teams above we would also have to change the timid passive approach that we take to away games. No sign of that happening at present, be delighted to be wrong

We can, we have the squad and quality. I wouldn't put much money on it however, as our consistency and tactics away from home are going to make it very difficult.

Well 5-12th aren’t going to be tight this year if the bookies are right. As of tonight, we are 14-1 to go up Brizzle Rovers are 50-1 and next is Charlton at 175-1.

Basically the bookies think we have a slight chance of making the playoffs and everyone below 8th can forget it.

No as soon as we get close to the top 6 we have some very poor results, need to be a lot braver. Sadly we will finish about 8/9th and be around 7 points shy of 6th. Very disappointing 😪

Not tough? Really big clubs like Wednesday, Sunderland and Portsmouth got stuck or are stuck in League 1 for years, yet some on here expect us to breeze to promotion. History tells a different story.

If we improve our away form then yes but atm I can’t see it even though I’ve voted yes cos heart rules head

In answer to the latter the teams have similar budgets, personnel and ability levels. So it becomes a question of who has luck with injuries, who is better organized and who wants it more. In answer to the first crunch the data for the promoted teams for the last three years. Everything from height, sprints, set piece and formations. Identify common traits, replicate and execute. Keep in mind what worked for league one will not work for the championship and character and desire with a sprinkling of luck will make the difference. Data if used well can be a great equalizer.

Of course we can, but this comes from someone who has said we'd win every game in the prediction league 😂

We have a really tough Feb that will be season defining. Two home games vs Oxford and Bolton, Saturday away games vs Stevenage and P'Boro and two long midweek trips to Orient and Cheltenham.

There's nobody to fear in this league and we can beat everyone on our day but it will be a tough ask.

I can see us beating some of the teams above us and then slipping up midweek.

Surprised it's only 62%. I think we all know the capabilities of this side and so can only presume the other 38% don't think Critch can do it?

I've changed my vote from yes to no. Looks like Dougall is on his way out and he's comfortably our best midfielder. And Apter has gone back to Tranmere so we are stuck with erratic wide players and no back up for Dembele. The back three thing keeps leaking goals. And we've only got one striker who consistently shows up. I'm not feeling bullish at the minute.

I think (more likely hope) we will sneak in. Side urgently needs more balance and more bottle away from home.

We are getting beaten by teams with much smaller budgets. Port Vale had youth players in their side that beat us 3-0 apparently. And Ben Garrity. So something needs to change. The decision making seems flawed.
