Went to the candelight concert last night with the missus at the Tower Ballroom, a fantastic string quartet playing beautiful music in what is one of the most beautiful settings. Had a really nice evening.
Got me thinking how quick people are to pull Blackpool to pieces and to criticise, yes the town does have economic and social issues, but we are also so lucky to live here, and appreciate the good things we have and what the town offers. We have absolute gems with the Tower and its ballroom, the Grand Theatre, Winter Gardens, the town should really be pushing these cultural diamonds and us locals should take advantage and support them more. I know I’m as guilty as any of not taking advantage of what’s on offer or appreciating what we’ve got.

I agree but there's a dearth of cultural events in Blackpool considering how many amazing venues we have. I went with Mrs TJ to see a touring contemporary ballet at the Grand on Thursday but there were only about 50 there. If there's no demand, you can't blame the organisers for keeping away. Still, we should have our very own museum soon with kiss me quick hats and sticks of rock. Can't wait. 🥳
 
There's a lack of cultural events in Blackpool because the general population are fully bought into pop culture.

People would rather engage with their phones.

A great evening.
Try something different at Least once.
My son are back there on Friday with Rock Choir.
