Cant wait for next season......

Was really fed up towards end of last season and was resigned to Dobbie getting the job by default and guessing when I might enjoy championship footy again. But the announcement of Critch smacks of everything the previous regime (Stains) wasnt about. A clear out of the board, new faces, director of football etc and a master stroke in reappointing Neil Critchley. Im now really excited for next season and in my, nearly 50 years of watching the Pool can never recall us winning promotion out right apart from some vague recollections circa 1985 when we climbed out of the depths of the old division 4. Well done the board for not succumbing to the derision of a few dozen Blackpool Massiff opinions and bring on next season. For all you doubters and fakers, watch learn and most important ENJOY!!!!

And then reality hits…

At least we shouldn't be in a relegation battle next season with the likes of Burton, Exeter, Stevenage, Wycombe, Cheltenham and Shrewsbury in the same division..

Possibly only 6 or 7 teams will bring more than 1500 to Bloomfield Road next season.

We are gonna miss the atmospheres created between us and the Championship teams, big time.

To be honest, am just looking forward to putting bets on us to win again - that habit quickly stopped last season!

I watched both legs of Barnsley/Bolton and second leg of Massive/Posh in the play offs. None of those sides really impressed me tbh, i felt we'd beat them with the end of season Dobbie team over 2 legs. Posh probably the best but didn't show up for leg 2.

In particular i thought Bolton looked lower league. Workmanlike and organised but very short of quality and managed 5th. Good keeper but he's gone back to City.

We really should target automatic for once. It's a challenge to get top two but we are one of the clubs that should be aiming for it. We've probably got a better XI than Bolton already.

We won't have the same team as the one that was relegated, when are some going to realise that.
The ones returning were out on loan to league 1 clubs and they didn't pull any trees up🤦
Plus there's a big chance that Marv and Jerry will also be gone by the start of the season.
Still think top 6 is possible from a team we've not even seen assembled yet?

I know which players ate still at the club. I think Jerry will leave but Marv will hopefully stay.

And we have a decent budget for L1 and will be signing players. We are in a position to put a very competitive side together and we have maybe the best coach in L1.

Hmmmm🤔

Genuinely can say after the Preston win I zoned out of the entire season. ST holder who I've just counted last season only went to 13 of 23 games - literally after the Wigan defeat I came up with any excuse not to attend and so even though I enjoyed the last 3 games at home it does feel as if we've been without engaging football for months now and so would agree with the o/p. Bring it on.
