Hi
Carlisle fan in peace.
I was wondering if anybody knows:
1. When tickets for this fixture will go on sale?
2. How many tickets will we get?
and
3. If we sell out very quickly (which is very likely) what is the likelihood of us getting more.
Thanks in advance

Normally 2 weeks before the game, so I would expect the end of next week.

2200

As above, none, we've not offered the North half of the East Stand to Wigan or Derby who would have also been able to sell all/most.

1. For some strange reason it’s never clear when tickets go on sale despite EFL guidance
2/3 Normally the club are only releasing approx 2000+ for away fans and doubt this will be increased. The East Stand that houses away fans is not really fit for purpose to accommodate more. lMO

I would like to see Carlisle have 4000. Better atmosphere but I don’t think the Safety Advisory Group (SAG) like giving the northern bit of the East to away fans?

Give them two additional blocks in the East, with a block missing they'll still be miles away from the North
And take away any home advantage In doing so.
Its been proven in the past when hoards of travelling fans fill the East we rarely win.

We need every possible chance of three points to keep within the play off zone.
Lose these next handful of games and we’re possibly nearer relegation than promotion.

It's bollocks all that. If we aren't going to fill that section and away fans could it should be given to em, an extra 1.5/2k shouldn't surrender home advantage.

We never seem to benefit when we take hoards of travelling fans, can't remember the last time I saw a Blackpool away win with a bumper away crowd. I think our players need to get a grip if that's the case.

It makes for a much better atmosphere, we could see a sell out if we gave Bolton the entire East which is an amazing site seeing a sold out Bloomfield Road, but we won't because it apparently gives home advantage away.

I really do despair at stuff like this. Ridiculous.

Sadly, our missile throwing fans in the North Stand have meant no sales of away fans tickets in the north section of the East Stand so it's limited to 2200 instead of 4500.

On the plus side, no need to to bring a helmet for those who do get a ticket.

Utter myth that's often peddled out on here.
Barnsley, Blackburn and our biggest win of the Season putting 6 past Birmingham all sold out the whole of the East and we won the first year back in the Championship.

Stoke in February was one of the best atmosphere of the season full east and win.

We get beat the atmosphere of the aways is always going to be loud but to throw potentially 50k down the drain is utter bonkers.

Stoke last season put that to bed. Their fans were saying after the game that they hadn't heard noise like the North made in years at their place. We were outplayed but lifted the team to a 1-0 win with the Great Escape ringing out non stop for 20 mins.

It is absolutely mental when we go away the distance between us and the away fans sometimes. At Bolton one side was so close to their fans you could probably reach over and tickle a home fans foot if you really wanted.

Anyone who comes here must be at least three blocks on one side and a corner from the other. I doubt we're that violent of a fanbase that it's really necessary. The club gets shafted out of money by bowing to the police and we lose out on bigger atmospheres, every other club has their singing section next to the away fans and they have to put away fans miles away from ours.

I don’t believe that our players don’t want to play in front of a full house, what could be better

It would be much easier if they shifted the press over to the West. More flexibility to add a block without getting too close to the North.
Where is the Police Control room at Bloomfield Road, do we even have one ? Set one up if not behind the morons who throw things, get some proper CCTV and stewarding and start banning any idiots. We’ll get the money back by being able to sell the full East stand when needed instead if having to keep it free based on the fact that some muppet will throw a bottle of piss over !

Near the scoreboard above the family stand.

Ideally it would be full of pool fans, with the right pricing, a big game and good form we could fill it, but failing that we can't keep making excuses and turning away cash if we want to compete and maximise revenue.

We have the best cctv in the stadium that money can buy. How many bottles of piss have you seen been launched at Bloomfield road lately ?

True, I do wonder whether we'd be able to sell out blocks in the East for Bolton. It could shape up as a big fixture depending on where we both are by then so a bit of marketing might not go amiss.

Well I was on the receiving end of one almost last time against the Nobbers ! Flares are a bigger issue admittedly and my point stands that this kind of thing is dragging us down. In fairness we are not the only ones.

Bolton had smokes and flares last week and we were still right next to them

Clubs marketing for shifting home tickets is next to zero.

If we’re in the play offs for when we play Bolton and they did an offer for tickets in the east against Bolton we would sell them.

Yep there's loads we could do to fill the home stands now or in the future.
