re. reported recent regional differences in the 'R' number...

"...There are likely to be a wide range of factors behind this. London may now have a higher level of population immunity, which could be playing a role in bringing down transmission, since a higher proportion of people have been infected..."

Given that a vaccine may not be available for a while and that the NHS wasn't critically overwhelmed before the suggested population immunity across London was established.

It has been reported recently that those who had the virus without need for hospitalisation have generated an immune response. It's from a small sample, but encouraging. Hospitalised patients were not included in this survey.
The researchers also demonstrate some cross immunity in those who have had common cold coronaviruses previously. Remember that not all common colds are caused by coronoviruses.
Anyhow, it is a step forward.

Made sense to me at the time, maybe I should have used bullet points? 😀

When it's Walking Football it's not running it's speed strolling and when it's running without a ball it's slowmo sprinting. Is it back on by the way, is this virus thing finished yet? Might be worth turning up tomorrow just in case.
