Central league action tomorrow (Tuesday)

In my experience they nearly always play the young pro's. 3rd choice keeper might be in the squad though.

The fact we have Wolves next week would mean that I doubt Critch will risk many players for this one.

A good opportunity to get some match minutes into the squad players who have not featured recently. I would think a mixture of these and the development squad, maybe.

The first team squad won't feature (they never do). It will be Development Squad and u18s.

We have a different 1st team manager now.

22mins.
A corner to Salford and a looping header from the tallest player on the pitch gives the visitors an equaliser.
2-2

Used to be, in the olden days , that if you scored regularly in the reserves and no one was scoring in the first team, then you'd get your chance.
That's how players were discovered , developed and matured. AHH the good old days .Keep popping them in Brad, it's all you can do lad

Decent game, first half better than the second, Holmes is not first team ready, Critchley was there, which at least shows he takes an interest. I was impressed with Daniels. Skillful and a good football brain. Trusty played centre back, which I will don't think is his position, would have liked to see him at centre mid. I resisted the urge to tell Critch to bloody give Apter a first team chance 🤣

I thought 1st half Jaden Jones (who's an u18) was pick of the bunch but faded a bit 2nd half.
We set up 4-5-1 with Brad on his own up front with Jake Daniels and Dannen Francis supporting him wide left and right respectively.
I actually think Jake is a little bit wasted out wide but in the 2nd half he moved inside and was a lot more influential. I thought he looked like he'd got his football mojo back and showed some really nice touches.
I get what you say about Brad but when I look at him and Zak Emmerson (he's reallly
developed physically over the close season) I see nothing better in Jake Beesley.
Tayt is definitely not a CB but it was needs must with Will Squires sat in the stand waiting to get the Bamber Bridge team bus to Maersk for tonights game.
No sign of Owen Moffatt today so I guess the rumours about him moving on may be true.
Not sure why Rob Apter didn't feature.
I also heard a rumour that Taylor Bowen (u18 striker) might be getting a loan move.
We went a bit more gung-ho 2nd half after about 60 mins when we were playing 4-3-3. It was a very entertaining game which Pool probably just edged with some good chances created that just didnt quite get converted.

Is he viewed as a first team player now, so will only play for the reserves occasionally?
I just wonder if they have a loan moved lined up for him? I honestly don't think Critch sees him as a potential 1st team player especially with all the mid-fielders he's recruiting.

Possibly, but the midfielders are all central players, and I wouldn't be surprised to see Trybull and possibly Virtue on the way out, the club does seem to be very short on wide players, so if he is loaned out he will have to be replaced.

Someone mentioned about Holmes to Chorley today on loan at the game

I admire your optimism. I think Jensen Weir pushed him down the pecking order.

Yeah I agree with all of that, my knowledge is limited to a few of them and particularly those that have been on loan at Brig. I thought it was a good game, I really liked Daniels, just has the touch and vision even if it doesn't come off every time. I agree re Holmes v Beesley, but neither are a first team striker, we need someone else. Apter though I still maintain he should be given a chance, just off the bench pretty regularly, of all the young lads I've seen both for Blackpool and particularly for Bamber Bridge, Apter is different gravy.

All in all, well worth an early finish from work this afternoon, and a wander down the road ( I live less than 10 mins walk from BBFC ground) oh and I met Critchley, but stopped short of mentioning boring football 😉😄

It was a decent game today and really enjoyed it with the draw being a fair result, but there No.9 who scored both their goals was huge (tall) and caused a lot of problems especially in the 1st half. What I’m struggling with is where’s the real connection and opportunities between the development squad and the first team? Apters a very good example of a young player who, going back to pre season friendlies last season and this has never let us down even though last pre season he was played out of position by applebollox! Dobbie was brave enough to put some of these lads on the bench and Holmes even started a game in the Championship but l really can’t see them being given any opportunities by Critch in L1. As you say Apter should be given a chance as l can see him being a decent impact sub.

I've not seen much of the "old" (he's still only 18) Jake so far this season until today.
I always thought he had a lot more to his game than just scoring 30 goals which he did for the u18s the season before last.
I think we need Dobbie to nurture him until at least Christmas and then perhaps sort him out a loan move.
If he continues to develop he could be that No.10 we've been crying out for.
I'm with you about Rob. Watching him in pre-season I thought he was the most technically competent player inthe squad. That's not to say he was the best footballer.
I do find it difficult to understand why, in a team lacking flair, we fail to put him on the bench.
Just like I can't understand why, in a team lacking goals, we fail to put a goal scoring striker on the bench.
Rob might not create a goal and Brad might not score goal put I suppose they don't get picked because Critch thinks that neither will help stop the opposition scoring

From BFC Academy.

"Best of luck to Taylor Bowen, who joins Workington on a work experience loan and is available for their fixture this evening."

He's on the bench maybe chatting to Ewan Bange who is on the bench for Radcliffe.
