Change the Jerry Yates song ...

That song did grate a little & compounded an unfair reputation of him being a playboy & Critchley picking himless than he should have.
I'm not a killjoy by any means, but Jerry deserves a song more fitting to his abilities & value to our team etc :)
He is as crazy as my 5 year old grandson though 🤡

Well, United fans sing thag song about George Best. It’s meant to be ironic, mentioning Jerry’s footballing ability shouldn’t be needed. We know he’s got tekkers 😂🍊

Critchbitch definitely had a problem with Jerry, & it a fair hypothesis that it was linked to the video of him in Walkabout & his growing reputation amongst fans of being a big drinker & not taking his fitness as seriously as he should etc. That song only added to the unfair reputation Jerry was gaining, and Critchbitch had a reputation of being 100% professional and expecting the same from his players.
The era of Bestie was completely different in terms of fitness and fun. Many players drank heavilly (Fred Picking allegedly until the early hours of a match day) & all the rugby players at my club Warrington were huge drinkers (and fighters).
Jerry looks trim & is obviously taking his fitness seriously, which can only be brilliant news for him and us 🧡

Or maybe he didnt pick him because he was out of form and preferred Lavery ?

Either way Jerry will get a chance to impress and he's clearly looked after himself in the off season which is great news.

That's not what I have been told by a member of the first team squad. I won't betray a confidence, but I will say that some of the squad will not be sad to see NC leave, but they do appreciate that the supporters will. Who those players are is not something to discuss.
The point being Angel, is that Jerry gained an unfair reputation of being a big drinker etc and the fans Jerry song didn't help matters.

However,as a point of order, I want to make it clear that Gary Madine is very much a Goal Machine. Literally, figuratively, spiritually.

I’d be surprised if NC didn’t pick him for that reason but you obviously have inside info on the issue
