No it was.Unless I've confused what you're trying to say, it was 30 years to get back to the level we were at in that Blackburn game.
Sorry for confusing. 30 years is bad enough though.

Indeed it was.No it was.

No.Is he the No 11 we seem to be missing?
We'd probably end up with a player with Kirk's pace and CJ's technical abilityPerhaps Critch is looking to fuse him and CJ together to create a Frankenstein winger?
With CJ’s pace and Kirk’s technical ability we’d have an unstoppable player on our hands..
I’m fed up of hearing this, Sadler has said, more than once, he’s paying for the TG and stand. He also said he hopes to recoup most of the money over time.I raised this and was told that we have a new stand and training ground to pay for.
Charlton fans have offered to drive him up here themselves. Doesn’t bode well for a team in our division. As much as it is uninspired, we did previously reject him in a context where we hoped to be pushing on towards midtable championship (maybe higher) football.
We're now in a different context.
I dunno, I'm just trying to be optimistic for my own sanity I think.
I said this as well, but was told that's not feasible. There's some on here that won't hear any criticism of him, so I've give up arguing about it.I’m fed up of hearing this, Sadler has said, more than once, he’s paying for the TG and stand. Saves paying him expenses. Perfect.Charlton fans have offered to drive him up here themselves. Doesn’t bode well for a team in our division.
I wouldn’t pay too much attention to what supporters say on a message board or social media ! Most don’t have a clue and I include myself in that as much as I do everyone on here. It’s what the coaches think that’s all that matters. Rotherham weren’t fussed about losing Yates and thought they’d had us over.Charlton fans have offered to drive him up here themselves. Hey Dougall is trying his bestWe'd probably end up with a player with Kirk's pace and CJ's technical ability
The difference is we had not previously had Yates, whereas we have had Kirk. Whilst I wouldn’t say he was rubbish, he hardly pulled up any trees. He has a reasonable delivery, but he’s very slow. As had been said by others on here. His 2 main assets are he used to play for Crewe and Critchley appears to think he’s wonderful. But then he also appears to think that Hamilton is an inverted wing back.I wouldn’t pay too much attention to what supporters say on a message board or social media ! He’s not slow. He’s not pacey either. But his game isn’t beating a man in a footrace. His game is putting the ball on the head or at the feet of his teammates. The knowing Critchley and being Ex-Crewe bit is helpful as it means he’ll buy into Critchleys methods will be used to certain tactics and ideas and that dynamic will work both ways. Sometimes that dynamic doesn’t already exist and in some of the worst cases it never develops. It’s understandable for a manager to go after players he feels he can trust and get the most out of. And if Critchley reckons Kirk is good enough for the Championship then I’m sure as hell he’ll put him to good use in League 1 - even if Charlton can’t. He showed at Crewe he was a top top player at this level after allThe difference is we had not previously had Yates, whereas we have had Kirk. A winger without pace is as much use as tits on a fish, what’s he going to do, stand in the attacking quarter waiting for the ball? He needs to be able to pick the ball up and take it past the defender or beat him with some trickery. Neither of which he showed when he was here before, he may have improved, but Charlton obviously don’t think so and according to their message board neither do the fans. I know you don’t have a very high opinion of fans views, but they can’t all be wrong. However we will find out and I do honestly hope I’m wide of the mark and he makes all the difference. I just don’t think he will. He’s not slow. He’s not pacey either. But his game isn’t beating a man in a footrace. His game is putting the ball on the head or at the feet of his teammates. I disagree. Wingers don’t have to beat a man. Kirk did his job plenty well enough in the Championship for us - getting a few assists in the process and proved excellent getting 20 or so assists for Crewe in just 1 season. Feeney had no pace and rarely took a defender on yet got the same number of assists as prime KDB in a much poorer Blackpool squad than this. Beckham rarely beat a man but was the best player of a generation. Giggs played into his 40’s and long after his pace was gone as did a certain Sir Stan.A winger without pace is as much use as tits on a fish, what’s he going to do, stand in the attacking quarter waiting for the ball? This discussion has come to an end as soon as you mentioned Kirk in the same paragraph as Giggs, Beckham, sir Stan et al. It’s akin to comparing one of the donkeys on the beach with Arkle.I disagree. And you’re right I don’t have much time for the opinion of fans. Fans tend to get it wrong. Critchleys the coach, he knows his own tactics, style and methods and he knows the player very well. Critchley wants success as much as we do. If he wants Kirk then Kirk is good enough
