Marcus Browne, winger from Boro, having a medical today ahead of a loan move to Charlton……

Could be a replacement for Kirk, if as reported we’re in for him?

There's a thread about their game against Lincoln in October where they lost 2-1 away, and he gets absolutely slaughtered. But the whole team was poor apparently. He was just the worst on the day. It's obviously gone badly for him down there for various reasons. One poster said they'd be interested to see a game of ours when he plays for us. I guess they reckon a higher level is beyond him but want to see how it works out.
 
There are great players all over the place who don't get a look in. I bet we all know guys we grew up with who didn't make it for a number of reasons. To the doubters I'd just say - Charlie, Wes, Vaughan, Baps - doubtless loads more. But he might turn out to be a dead loss too - that's football. It's why smart managers are worth more than players - IH was great at it - reckon NC is too.

Kirk was quality for Crew at League 1 level, at Charlton he doesn't fit their system. They play. 5-3-2 and Kirk is an out and out winger. I'd be happy with him as a replacement for Mitchell, he has a better end product than Mitchell and CJ for that. He was also regarded as better than Dale at Crewe. He improves the squad imo.
