I'm going to say yeah. He's got good underlying ability. He can cross very well and his control and passing is good. He's decent positionally and both does cover work and finds space.

He needs to improve in his aggression going forward/at goal and at times in the tackle. He definitely lacks pace, which he can't do much about. But then, so did Waddle and Rick Holden... I'd like to see him add a trick or two to his game.

He hasn't blown me away but realistically, we either need to pay big wages for free or big fees to get much better and we ain't doing that. The quality of his delivery is better than anyone else in squad.

So, yeah. On balance, sign him.

“We’ve seen interest in him. We’ve got to weigh that between the interest we see from some clubs, how we can utilise him in the squad and how he fits into Ben’s philosophy of playing attacking football.

Don’t think he offered enough, his dead balls were amazing but other than that, he wasn’t fast enough didn’t really seem to be beat his man often and didn’t offer loads in other areas, I wouldn’t be against bringing him back but don’t think he improves the team so would prefer to look else where
