The main positive was that he could actually deliver a decent set-piece. He did seem to lack pace and the ability to beat a man which you are normally looking for in a winger though. If we were to take Kirk then folk need to start again with him.
He was billed as a replacement for Josh Bowler. He's no more a tricky dribbling winger than I am, and I'm 57 with bad knees.
But I always saw him as comfortable on the ball, and had a good left foot. There would be a role for him in a possession based team, whether he offers an improvement on what we already have is open to debate at this stage.
A reliable one.Source?
Permanent?A reliable one.
Problem is, if he was signed, it would be a 2/3 year contract. The majority on here seem to think we have a good chance of the playoffs, if we went up he isn’t championship standard and we would be trying to unload again. Who’s Critchley going back to next, Maxwell? It wouldn’t surprise me.Would be happy to have Kirk back great player in this division
And if they re right for the team, style , ethos etc. Too much is made of this ,' sign a big name , ' way of thinking .I don’t give two shits if they are big money or big name signings. If a player is seen to fit our squad, our ethos and our system then it’s ambitious enough for me!
Not Maxwell, but not aiming at real Championship potential perhaps. Not got the budget.Problem is, if he was signed, it would be a 2/3 year contract. If they keep it up we will be the epitome of a yoyo club. We will be up and down like a brides nightie. Not Maxwell, but not aiming at real Championship potential perhaps. Not got the budget.

Unlike CJ however, this lad can control a ball and has some end productAnother Callum Wright type signing although probably rate him more.
Give me CJ all the time.
When?Unlike CJ however, this lad can control a ball and has some end product
End product, must have missed it.Unlike CJ however, this lad can control a ball and has some end product
Scored 5 and have 4 assists in the division last season also provided some moments of brilliance with us during his loan spellWhen?
300k?Looks like he still has two years left on his contract. Is there likely to be a fee? If so Charlton paid £500k for him so it could be a significant sum.
300k?
Not good enough. Lightweight, slow and about as dynamic as a leaf blowing in the wind.In talks with us
Oh behave. The agenda against CJ is ridiculous. He’s limited but can be very effective, he tore league one full backs to shreds last time. If anybody thinks Kirk is a better option than CJ they need to give their head a wobble.Unlike CJ however, this lad can control a ball and has some end product
Yawn… every single time you post you miserable fool. Not good enough. Lightweight, slow and about as dynamic as a leaf blowing in the wind.
