All about desire, when you look player for player we had far more quality than them. It was a couldn't be arsed performance against a team on a resurgent run. Got all we deserved and could have been more. A waste of time all round for the fans that travelled that night.

Lincoln. Port Vale were also as terrible.
 
Living in Gloucestershire I attended with a local pal, a cheltenham fan, quite confident after seeing us play so well at Bristol Rovers. But a completely different team turned up and it was embarrassing. Cheltenham wanted it much more than us. They were non league not so long ago and with average gates a third of ours they were punching above their weight rather than Critchs team doing the exact opposite
 
The biggest single factor in our season is the failure to score (or even create numerous chances to score) away from home … a return of 20 goals in 22 games is pathetic especially as 4 of those were in 1 match … Critch talks about “the final ball doesn’t have enough quality” which is true, but we never seem to get enough bodies in the box to feed off defensive mistakes, deflections etc. and never seem to create meaningful chances from set pieces, corners … I give you the short corner routine at Derby as an example 🙄 … just get the ball in the box & a percentage of things fall if you have enough players there.
 
Sometimes you may have one or two players have an off performance but that night there was eleven of them with Grimmy getting MoTM. There has been quite a few away games this season where a number of players have underperformed probably down to tactics and and formation.
 
When you go away from home on a Tuesday night it’s not easy. Critchley ucked up, should have played 4 at the back, 4 or 5 in midfield, forget passing it around at the back and just battle.
 
That was the last game I watched us play. Went there expecting at least a 0-3 to us and it was cringeworthy to say the least.
We didn’t show any desire to win the game at all.
 
Terrible result went by train 3 of us had a great trip spoilt by the game. Unfortunately the players didn’t show up even after penalty save by Grimmy. At the end of the game left didn’t slate the players they knew they were bad. Sat in a pub near ground listening to the home fans talking positively only positive was the various quality beer we had.🍺🍺😢😢🍊🍊

And we are now paying the price with squeaky bum time tonight.

Stay away till the final Halifax, Wembley is technically a home game you will be fine there.
