Just a little plaudit for the keeper yesterday. Liked what I saw. Thought he controlled his area well, had a bit of vision when it came to releasing the ball early (although I still think we're slow to get out of our box and I still don't understand the 11 men back mentality for an opposition corner) and took the ball well when he needed to.

Could hear him shouting at the players to get out and push up numerous occasions.
We've not had a keeper who talks for a long time

Yes he was very vocal which I like to see in a keeper.
He was looking to get an attack going with his throws as well.
A competent performance all round and couldn't be faulted for their out of the blue screamer.

Thought his distribution was excellent yesterday. Came quite far out of his area a couple times. Alnwick just takes an absolute age with everything.

I agree he looks to be the best distributor of the ball we have either from his hands or with his feet.
He's a "quick thinker" as well.
Good first impressions anyway.

Faultless yesterday, he didn't have much to do, but what he did, he did well. As others have said hopefully good communications will help settle our new defence.

Seems decent overall. Will help us playing out from the back and is vocal too

Hopefully we will sign him permanently beyond his current end of season contract. Be interesting though if SG also wants to sign Alnwick on a permanent

I suppose the interesting thing is when Alnwick is back and fit - which would be the better option going forward. Certainly feel that Howard, Mafoumbi and Boney won't be here next season.
