Yep, he made some great saves to keep us in it during the first half.
His distribution wasn't as good as usual, but from our view behind him in the South, there was little or no movement for him to play the ball to in fairness to him.

I hope he doesn't make the "Mike Davies dink" part of his repertoire. He tried it in the first half and Husband did well to keep it in play and to beat the Cardiff player to the ball. 😁
 
It’ll be a different outcome when we have a fully fit Kev & Kenny. Our defence misses that shield.
I like Grant Ward and think his passing and touch is classy but we do miss Stewart particularly
 
Maxwell really is going to be an asset in this new campaign. Good performance yesterday and was not intimidated. He really has developed under Critchleys management and certainly looks comfortable in the championship. Good shot stopper and a leader who commands his area well. Delighted he is our keeper
 
I was wrong about Maxwell. Well I wasn't sure about him, and I thought Critch's decision to go with him was maybe a mistake at the time. But he just seems to keep getting better. He's started the season really well.

I hope you're right but we could do with some height and strength along the spine of the team.

Yes, I wasn't convinced but great save from the one on one in the first half and all the other positives mentioned above.

I used to think he made some crazy decisions on dealing with crosses and never wanting to catch the ball clean but it would appear that all keepers are happier to punch at all times now - modern ball moves more ? - so maybe I was overly critical.
